yessss!!!! i recommend u to watch the todome no parallel episode 10 (u dont rlly need to watch the previous episodes bc ep 10 takes place a while after the events of todome no kiss ep 10) the ending is much happier, but also open ended. thankfully the TnP a bit more satisfying than the TnK ending lol

in the very end he does show sympathy for her, but there never ends up being a love story between them

I find that aspect of the drama to be the most realistic; the brother is long since dead, some characters (otaro and the father) have accepted it, meanwhile others (the mother) have not. But they each deal with kouta's loss differently,
and the fact that he is dead, and theres not some dramatic, over the top fairy tale-esque reveal at the end gives it a more realistic and emotional touch

not sure why this drama has such a high rating compared to other genuinely good dramas. it was actually good at the beginning, very warm and enjoyable, nothing special but still a relaxing way to pass the time. However, the last few episodes were a mess, everything happened way too quickly, it was like the writers just wanted to end it. Which is a shame, because it could have been a masterpiece. Overall, I would give it an average rating, probably a 6.

btw, what drama was it that "tore your heart out"? im looking for something like that :)
