I think she knows that Vincenzo has killed and still kills when necessary. She just accepted the and not contradicted the lie, maybe to pacify or comfort herself, but deep down she knows. She's smart, she would know as Vincenzo won't be facing or meeting assassins alone if he was 'just a lawyer'.

Something more must have transpired at his house during the 'buying' the building scene. He looks very suspicious and greedy, and I think he would betray Vincenzo.
Reading the synopsis, my first impression is that it is an adaptation of Descendants of the Sun -- military, doctor, earthquake, assigned somewhere, etc. I know it says and adaptation of a novel, but how much similarity with DOTS?

I hope it was not him but his 'brother' Paulo. He did mention in their conversation that Paulo went against their principle of not harming women and children. That's why he is not following Paulo as a leader, not respecting him.

Very insightful. The King at that time became very arrogant with his successes, so full of himself that he wanted a tower to symbolize it, he wanted to reach the heavens. He pushed and pressured the people to work on the tower, the workers were actually not happy. God was not happy with this, He confused their language so they were not able to understand each other and not finish the tower. If there will be some sort of parallels, then the workers -- Wusang, JHS will be pushed to their limits and will not be happy with JJW (king). Vincenzo can then plant strife between them. I agree with you, the ultimate fail may be brought about by the brothers fighting against each other. That is, of course, if there will be parallels to the Tower of Babel.
Mixed feelings for tonight's episode (10) -- excited but at the same time scared. I know Leads will survive at least til the last eps but still, am scared of what may transpire.
Also sad that Vincenzo is halfway done, I don't want it to end yet, it's one of my anticipated weekend entertainment.
