I honestly don’t agree with your opinion about Sangwon and Anxin having a superiority complex or being self…
I feel like you didn't read my comment or choose to ignore certain parts. I was talking about their initial reaction when the name was announced — the raw, unfiltered response. Yes, they clapped later when Junseo went up the stairs, but that doesn’t erase how dismissive they looked in the first moment. That’s exactly what I critiqued. I know that Sangwon and Kangmin know each other since high school, also that Anxin is very close with Kangmin. Their bias is true and that's fine. But they also worked with Junseo. Even ex-trainees who admitted voting for Kangmin still clapped for Junseo. Sangwon and Anxin didn’t — and that initial reaction can’t really be excused. I’ve already made my point: Their reaction spoke for itself. I’ll leave it at that.
Junseo got hate for pushing out Sho and going towards Sanghyeon? You have to be clearer about this. I'm following every single content and I haven't seen or heard about this.
I honestly don’t agree with your opinion about Sangwon and Anxin having a superiority complex or being self…
Hypocrite? I'm not talking about the broadcast I'm talking about fancams showing their initial reaction, which reveals the most honest feelings, before social niceties kick in. The initial reaction is less filtered and shows genuine preference or disappointment.
Also instead of going on attack mode, how about asking, who made them dance to Chains?
I honestly don’t agree with your opinion about Sangwon and Anxin having a superiority complex or being self…
In Sanghyeon's case there was no winner announcement. Only that Liyu placed 10th. In Anxin's and even Sangwon's case (fancam), there was a winner and loser announcement. I get that they wanted Kangmin in the group and that they were disppointed, but showing no support for Junseo came across as very dismissive. Even with a bias toward Kangmin, they should've showed at least a small gesture of respect & unity. They have worked and will work with Junseo in the future. What do you think Junseo will feel when he sees their reactions? Junseo smiled sincerely and clapped for all 7 members, showing his full support as he was standing there nervously like very other trainee. The fact that the outcome was already known, which was 50:50 and they worked and lived with both of them, should make it a basic manner to respect and support both, even if you have a bias. Many of the ex-trainee who also were Kangmin bias still clapped and smiled with a heavy heart for both of them. In my own observation, both were insensitive, and yes it might be their young age, but it doesn't change what I or anyone else feel, seeing their reactions. Also let's not forget how insensitive it was to dance to Chains right in front of Leejeong. In such an emotional moment, they were pretty happy when they took their own seats.
From everything I’ve seen, I can’t really agree with the comment about Anxin, because even though he’s only…
I know that Anxin is a sweet person and yes we all have biases, but for me, he made his biases very visible. In a professional setting you need to be aware of them and not let them show so strongly. When someone openly favors their friends, it comes across as unprofessional and insensitive to the others, especially since everyone is working toward the same dream. I hope he steps out of his bubble and opens himself up to the rest of the group. Same with Sangwon, who kinda didn't pay much attention to the younger trainees.
I honestly don’t agree with your opinion about Sangwon and Anxin having a superiority complex or being self…
I respect your opinion. In Anxin’s case, he showed very strong support for Kangmin while showing little for other contestants, and to me that came across as biased. Since he worked with all of them, I think he should at least try to be more sensitive - at the end all of them are fighting for the same dream. I understand his feelings, but he shows little awareness of how his reaction might affect others, especially since he is already in the group and might have to work with his opponent. With Sangwon, it’s just my impression from interviews and interactions — he seems quiet insensitive, maybe because he’s young or introverted, which is fine, it’s just how I perceived him. As for Leo, I don’t really care about an apology; I’ve seen the lyrics, the artist he picked, and the performance, and that’s enough for me. Having someone like that in my own surroundings makes it hard for me to accept. And with Geonwoo, there is no discussing — he admitted it himself.
I want to give a very honest opinion here. To be completely real, this show was extremely biased - and a times it almost felt like strings were being pulled behind the scenes. It was very uncomfortable to watch, because the favoritism was so obvious. The screentime given to each trainee spoke volumes, and I don't think anyone can deny how uneven it was.
From what I've seen, Junseo in particular was unfairly pushed into a scapegoat role, possibly to draw attention away from Geonwoo's bully allegations and Leo's misogynistics lyrics. Junseo carried anormous weight because of it, and I believe he was treated more harshly than anyone else.
For me, the members (of ALD1) who stand out as the most genuine and humble are Xinlong, Jihao, Junseo and Sanghyeon. These four radiate a very different kind of energy. Xinlong and Jiahoa may sometimes appear a little lost, because of the language barrier, but they show sincerity and warmth in everything they do. They strike me as kindhearted and team-minded. Sanghyeon simply enjoyes life without malice or hidden motives and Junseo with the longest record, reflect the humility and love he grew up with in WEi - honest, sincere and deeply team-oriented. Together these four are the ones I trust most, because their kindness feels real.
In contrast, I find myself uneasy with other dynamics in the group. Geonwoo and Leo raise the most concern. Geonwoo is a proven bully, which already feel problematic and Leo's choice of misogynistics lyrics and the way he even performed it on stage with conviction was troubling. He choose an misogynistic artist and managed to make the lyrics harsher than the original, which makes me question his perspective deeply. From my own experience of having misogynistic people in my surroundings, I know how deeply rooted such attitudes can be. At his age, people rarely change, and that worries me. With Geonwoo, I noticed how he attached himself to Junseo and other known trainees from the very beginning, and it often felt calculated, almost like a mission to stay close for positive points. Even his winning speech did not feel sincere, more like acting than genuine emotion. As for Sangwon and Anxin, I don't think they are bad people, but they do come across as very self-centered and biased, often living in their own bubble. At times it feels like they expect to be loved and praised, and the energy they give off feels like a quiet superiority complex. With Anxin, it's less pronounced, but still noticeable. What also troubled me was how they behaved during the final announcement - dancing to Chains and mocking while other trainee were still waiting in fear and heartbreak. The way they acted was very insensitive - and it show that they lack empathy in key moments, which is hard to ignore. And this can't be debated, as they show deep concern when it's about their close circle, but when comes to others outside of that, they appear dismissive.
What saddens me most is that, in this process, we lost very talented and deserving people along the way. If I could, I would remove Leo and Geonwoo and instead add Donggyu and Kangmin to the lineup. I truly believe they would have brought a healthier and more team-oriented dynamic. Because beyond skills, this group need sincerity and humility to thrive. And right now, other than Xinlong, Junseo, Jiahao and Sanghyeon, I don't see enough of that balance. The way Mnet promoted Leo and expecially Geonwoo (and Sangwon) makes it difficult not to suspect connections behind the scenes.
It also feels very obvious what kind of drama Mnet wanted to create by placing Junseo 8th. The parallels to his previous survival show, the parallels to Jiwoong in BP and the pairing him against Kangmin in such a cruel way was hard to ignore. Plus Mnet did everything to create more hate for Junseo so that Leo and Geonwoo doesn't look that problamtic in the group. They put him through hell till the very end and totally broke him to the point his eyes became empty as if he wasn't allowed to feel or cry or be happy.
Junseo is my pick. After seeing how much they made Junseo suffer, I can't help but feel scared for him. Someone as loving and kind as him deserves to be surrounded by genuine warmth and support. And I honestly worry what the future will hold for him in this lineup.
I will never forgive Mnet for what they did to Junseo. He became the prime victim of their so-called ‘evil editing,’…
Mnet should 100% be held accountable for what’s happening to Junseo. In his last livestream with Xinlong, Geonwoo, and Jihao, he was receiving d*ath thr*ats in real time — comments he could clearly read while on air. That is absolutely unacceptable, and it’s a direct result of how Mnet has handled and edited him. At this point, what they’ve done is not just unethical, it feels like grounds for legal action.
This show has crossed into something deeply disturbing. It’s no longer about talent, growth, or fairness — it’s about manipulation. Verified reports and the editing itself make it obvious: Mnet has favorites, and they are shamelessly pushed to the front while others are buried under ‘evil edits.’ The uneven screen time, the glorification of certain contestants, and the vilification of others expose the politics behind the scenes. It’s not a survival show, it’s a scripted narrative designed to benefit a select few. The fact that producers and editors can arbitrarily decide who deserves to shine is not only unfair but also deeply unethical. The final lineup has been transparent from the very beginning, and that makes the entire process feel hollow, exploitative, and insulting to both contestants and viewers. This isn’t just disappointing — it’s disgusting.
Found this on X. What do you think guys?"Rumors" about the show (gotten from @poom067)- A 9th member is…
They definitely want Geonwoo as leader. They probably wanted him from the start but since he got the allegations, they decided to push Junseo for the mean time till his rumors settled down. Junseo became the producer’s sacrificial piece in a calculated narrative — elevated briefly for convenience, then vilified and erased once his role was no longer useful.
The Mnet production bears heavy blame - there is no way they didn't anticipate this fallout. It was a calculated…
Yeah, I agree with you. That's makes a lot of sense. There are already rumors the show has favorites backed up by money and inside ties.
Whatever happened to Junseo behind the scene, I just hope he can get through this without being completely broken by it. We all know how unforgiving this industry is - sometimes the roles you take or the attention you attract can end up being used against you.
At this point, it feels pretty official that Mnet is trying to erase Junseo from everything possible. They skipped…
The Mnet production bears heavy blame - there is no way they didn't anticipate this fallout. It was a calculated editorial decision. They flipped Junseo's image so abruptly - they knew it would trigger online harassment and more. That's a formula: outrage fuels raitings. Junseo was used as a collateral damage.
The tragedy is that in chasing views, they treated a real human being as disposable. Their business interests outweigh duty of care. Since the results were predictable, the production cannot claim ignorance. It was not just evil editing - it was deliberate destruction of a contestant's public image for profit. We can also see that fairness means nothing to them, since Junseo is totally cut out of the show and given meaningless parts so fans don't complain too much.
- Zero screen time - Evil edits - The lowest score among all trainees (sabotaged) - No benefits - Intense, relentless hate train
…is just crazy.
Mnet tried so hard to drag him through the mud to pull his rating down, but he’s still surviving. And the alpha support shows he still has such insane backing from fans. If Junseo doesn’t debut after all this, then there’s seriously something wrong.
But I still fear that since they’ve tried so hard up until now, they will — no matter what — try to kick him out of the top 8.
The fact that Junseo delivered such an impressive performance after going through hell and even being cursed at right before the stage — but still ended up with the lowest score — is beyond ridiculous. Him being ranked last pretty much revealed the disgusting face of narrow-minded Korean fans.
Whoever in Mnet thought they could get away with evil editing against someone as kind as Junseo will pay the price — karma never misses.
It's a shame that so many talented trainees (Harry June, Boheng, Yoonmin and more) were eliminated. At the end, it always comes down to a mix of popularity and talent - and both are heavily influenced by how much screen time someone gets and how they are edited.
I also want to adresse the hate towards Junseo again. I ask you kindly to be respectful towards Junseo and to any other trainee. Right now Junseo is receving the worst of it - extremely disturbing hate comments, especially from Korean fans. His friend reported that Junseo broke down and cried reading the hate comments. During the elimination recording - which happened right after the last epsiode aired - Junseo was spotted, looking completely frail and drained. We are talking about someone's mental health and well-being - and the risk this creates is not just serious, it's alarming.
You have to consider that Junseo is the maknae of his group, but the hyung and sunbae (senior) in this show. He clearly sees it as his duty to take care of the younger ones. Up until now, he always stepped up to lead the groups in such an authentic way, making sure others shine. In the 2-star group he did a great job as a leader. Since the malicious and distorted editing in Bad Team, his leader role was written out of the story altogether. Even in this new episode Mnet continues to put him in a bad light. When he asked the team who wanted to be leader, he was clear that he had already done it three times and gave everyone the chance to volunteer. Since no one spoke up, he took responsiblity again. Before he put the leader sticker on, he looked around and said "I'm putting the leader sticker on" and everyone clapped. There were many cuts here where facial expression were pieced together to create a tensed story. We don't know the whole decision process, but there should be no hate because of this. What makes it a bit unfair is Kangmin later saying in an interview that he wanted the leader role, but stayed silent because he thought that Junseo would want it. There is no excuse for saying that, when Junseo made clear that he already did it many times and asked 3 time if someone wants to do it. Kangmin was not fair towards Junseo and by saying that in the interview, he put bad light on Junseo. Junseo also got hate for encouraging Sangwon to try for the killing part. I understand that this can be misunderstood, but Junseo only had the team's success in mind - to win. The words he picked might not be right, but he didn't mean any harm or tried to put the other members down. He gave Anxin a second chance and he voted for Jiahao, who clearly was the best. He is fair - even in Bad Team, he listend to his team member and gave Donggyu space to shine, making clear that the leader doesn't have to seize and do everything. Junseo always tried to be a leader who takes responsiblity. That means putting himself in uncomfortable situations where, no matter what he does, some people will twist it into hate. Leadership is always thankless: you can’t please everyone and you will make bad desicion. It's humane.
So I'm asking you to be fair to Junseo. Right now, he is in a very bad condition. And the fact that his old schoolmates came out and addressed Mnet's malicious editing says a lot. They said that the person they saw on the show felt like a totally different person, because the real Junseo they know is one of the kindest people they have known. Even former trainees of Boys2Planet went live today, reacting to the new epsiode and they defended Junseo as a leader: Hyeop: "Junseo’s still the leader?" Dongheon: "Wasn’t he the leader when we were at two star?" Hyeop: "That must’ve been a lot of pressure." Yongseung: "But the fact that he keeps leading it shows he’s been doing a good job." Dongheon:"Of Course, he did really well." When Junseo ranked 5th, Seowon who got eliminated said: "You are sitting there because you deserve it." He even started to follow Junseo on IG, after his elimination. A lot of trainees clearly appreciate Junseo. And for 7 years in the industry, he was loved for his kindness. Please don't get fooled by Mnet's editing. Several trainees - even Suren - have spoken out about how many positive and good things were simply cut out.
Please be kind and fair to all trainees, because they have no control over what gets shown or how the editing twists their image.
Thank you for sharing again. Unfortunately, even if we explain it now and we all know the treatment he received…
We have to stay strong for Junseo. We all know what kind of person he is.
Also remember that Huijun shared in his live stream that Junseo together with some trainees helped Yumeki with his pronunciation. Even if Mnet cut those moments out, there are people who are seeing and talking about Junseo's kindness. He is a good person and we all know it.
Guys please read BV92's comment. Now it makes sense why Mnet cut out the part where Junseo gave full credit to…
Thank you for sharing again.
Unfortunately, even if we explain it now and we all know the treatment he received is unjust, the damage is already done—and that’s the worst part.
For six years Junseo was nothing but kind, and yet, in just one day, with the endless flood of disturbing hate, he was torn apart. Now he looks frail, his eyes drained of life and heavy with pain he can barely hide. He is clearly fighting just to hold himself together. The worst part is what we can’t see—the mental exhaustion, the suffering he’s carrying inside. And the fact that we can already see him breaking physically only shows that mentally, it must be even worse. I’m truly scared for his well-being and his mental health.
I know that Sangwon and Kangmin know each other since high school, also that Anxin is very close with Kangmin. Their bias is true and that's fine. But they also worked with Junseo.
