From what I remember they didn't make any changes but just stuck to their original plan to keep things simple to preserve Ye li's elegance and beauty. A lot were complaining because they find her styling too plain and lacking, they wanted her to have more adornments and bolder make up to exude her richness. It even came to a point that Lulu released a statement on weibo too, to trust her and the team behind Mo li. Although yes, it's amazing! she looks amazing!

During shooting days many complained about her styling and costume for looking too ordinary or simple but watching eps today, the choice of the stylist and make-up artist were great!
