Well, with the Trump's regime, SK and USA's relationship has definitely worsened. But even still, America usually does like to target any country they believe have nuclear bombs or dangerous to attack, or make up a reason cus its profitable for the US to do war and doing war helps capitalism. Just look at what they did to Iran, Iraq, and every country they bombed, started a war on or helped with. But attacking South Koreans doesn't make sense if their target is NK
Also, the current government of SK is trying to unify or improve relations with NK.
But tbh, if you want to know about the politics going on here, its better to search it up cus MDL commenters are probably not someone u should look for to talk about world politics. But look from many sources too, not just something which is favours of US all the time, u should also hear the voices of the critics of the US and make ur own judgement from the info.
This drama isn't completely realistic in terms of politics cus political assasination attempts happening this frequently is very unrealistic. South korean law, police and intelligence isnt that incompetent that they can't catch or hold someone accountable for the assassination attempts and assassinations. NK doesn't believe at all that Korea can unify but SK still insists to do so. However some of the points the drama is trying to tell somewhat correct, but not completely. Like the US wanting to wage war just cus NK only supposedly have a nuclear submarine.

I don't get why seo wul blamed dal bong for 'making fun of her for not knowing' and went around saying she would married him. Dal bong from the very start told her that he wasnt the person she saved, but she's the one who kept on insisting that she did and promised to marry him. Sure dal bong didnt give the full story that eun ho was the one who used dal bong's name but is that really his fault cus its basically eun ho's responsibility cus he is the one who made a promise under a lie, and dal bong neve admitted he's the boy she saved. But for some reason the drama kept making it seen as if it was all dal bong's fault.

Above all, girl why would u believe a promise made 12 YEARS AGO by a 14 year old. Also like ur 26 now too if i assume she's the same age as dal bong and eun ho, why would you think that type of promise would be remembered by someone and then expect them to marry u straight away cus of that. Like it seemed seo wul had no brains or common sense. But she was very sincere and kind which i liked about her.

I swear Yoon Jae is the real FL here. like y'now how everyone talks about stereotype that the FL is clueless when another person apart from the ML, likes them, but Yoon Jae is exactly that type of person.

I wouldn't mind a love triangle with 2 FLs but why does the 2FL always gotta be the most self absorbed, bratty, shameless type person. I wish more dramas had a love triangle with 2 FLs and the 2FL is actually a nice person.

I HATE the ML's and Chang Won's bosses. Like they have absolutely 0 sympathy and no redemption. The ML's boss trying to make Mun Jeong do desk work instead of having to go to court cus he was being lenient of her pregnancy, was BS instead of giving her maternity leave which was her right, and then throwing in a few backhanded comments too. And the workplace bullying where the woman's husband died of suicide, I wish the ML purposely did a half ass job in retaliation or something, but ig he just has no spine. I think Chang Won's boss might be the worst and I wouldn't mind if he had his downfall.

NOPEEE. Well for Hye Ja's children yes, but her husband died very young after being framed and robbed in prison (probably tortured to death). Also most of the story is her imagination and she didn't actually become young. She had dementia and ig this was some long episode of delirium.

But the story is very good and I cried a lot lol

well if hes only cameo then that probably further means that their marriage is stable cus otherwise if they wanted to go a bit more on her married life and kids, her husband might be in support role

fair enough, but its definitely not a 7.5? maybe 7.9-8.1. And it does get better imo, if u compare the first 4 episodes. I do think some episodes are fillers, and move almost nowhere in terms of plot, but I don't think the drama is too bad itself.
