I love Doctor Romantic as well! Too bad it's just finished! I was looking forward to Mondays and Tuesdays the rest of the week so that I could watch it! It would be interesting! Maybe one day they will...we can hope!

TVN is a small channel, it's cable, the big 3 are not so they reach a wider audience in general. I say in general, as there are dramas that TVN has produced and is currently producing that have bigger ratings than dramas airing on mainstream channels. I'm referring to the hit show Reply 1988 and most currently Goblin. For a cable channel, their ratings are beyond huge which has been solidifying TVN as a reference in high quality content production namely dramas and variety programs.

While I loved Descendants of the Sun overall OST, K.Will's Talk Love was my ultimate favorite! It's still one of my all-time K-Drama OST's of all time! :)

Coffee Prince was Gong Yoo breakout performance and transformed him into a star. In regards to Yoon Eun Hye, you are correct, Goong made her into a star but Coffee Prince made her into an A-list, therefore the drama launched them both to stardom, albeit at different levels.

The Taiwanese drama Hana Kimi was very popular. Whether or not it was responsiblefor the idea of creating a gender bender drama: Coffee Prince, in Korea is unknown. Did it start the gender bender trend? Is a strong possibility considering how popular it was, therefore you might be correct, however, Coffee Prince does mark the begining of an upward trend in gender bender roles as well. As part of the Korean wave. Coffee Prince is a 'landmark' in dramaland and has contributed to the expansion of Korean wave worldwide. Coffee Prince projected the concept to a global scale and after the drama many have followed with varying degrees of success.

:-) You are correct. It's 10 years since Hana Yori Dango 2, the Japanese version of the drama. Boys over Flowers, the Korean version only aired in 2009. This year is their 8th anniversary! :-)
