Jin Ru Yi is the most annoying, self-centered in this 'would be great story' if she had less screen time or woke up to life. Xu Xuan loves Bai Su Zhen! How many times does she need to be told that? How many times does she need to be shown that to understand it? Aparently billions and she still refuses to understand! The story's pace is already slow, several times plot recycled but it's good to watch. It would be better if Jin Ru Yi was less in viewers faces. This character is literaly ruining the drama for me!
Riiiiight. I can't believe they still haven't done a remake of this masterpiece. If and when they do, you can…
:) Thank you so much! :) I am happy you enjoy my articles! Domyoji's one has a lot of pink the article but somehow it had to be pink! :) I don't know if you know but HanaDan the Movie has a photo book which I have discovered recently and had to buy it! I'm not sure if it's something you might be interested in but here's the link: (it's second hand. The one that I bought was also second hand but it's really good) https://www.amazon.com/Photobook-Hana-Yori-Dango-nonno/dp/B0018CKUQS/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=hana+yori+dango+photo+book&qid=1554626556&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull You can also find this on ebay. The book is in Japanese and i don't read Japanese but somehow I really had to buy it! The photos are really nice and it's Hana Yori Dango!!!

I've watched!!! :) I loved the cameos. Matsuda Shota is also doing a cameo! They do!!! :) I was so happy with their cameo!!! I wrote an article about it - fangirling over domyoji! Hana Nochi Hare brought back so many memories of HYD! I love that version!!! Love, love, love!!! :)
Hi Your article was great and not only did I enjoy reading it but also I also empathize with you! Saying that perhaps it might be time to move on (from these dramas = old boyfriends) and fall in love with dramas (new boyfriend, perhaps a better one) that have a S2 (and make you happy) instead of pointlessly waiting for something that is not going to happen! You're wasting your time and you're better than that! :)
Ikuta Tomas has been one of my favourite actors since forever! I have also been an Arashi fan for a very long time and I like Kazuya Kamenashi quite a lot so for me the article is nice although I can think of at least a dozen Japanese actors I would replace number one for incl. Naohito Fuijiki (46), Mukai Osamu (37) and Hideaki Takizawa (36). Thank you so much for this article by the way! :)
I really liked this drama. My only regret was that due to its extension and prior commitments Choi Jin Hyuk was unable to film the last 2 eps. I liked how it ended but I keep wondering if Choi Jin Hyuk had been able to film the last 2 eps how different the end might be.
Also personally I don't think that Na Wang Shik / Chun Woo Bin was a "shinning knight" at all. He wasn't a knight. He was like the emperor a broken man. Each one of them had imperfections. In the beginning Na Wang Shik was a plain simple man, devoided of any complexity; a common person without aims or objectives, living life normally.
Circumstances have broken Na Wang Shik / Chun Woo Bin while at the same time giving him a sense of purpose (avenge his mother's death). His sense of purpose grew and took a larger scope as his feelings for the empress developed and he felt the urge to protect her. Here yes, I agree he was a "shinning knight" but then so was the emperor when he saved and protected the empress.
The difference between the two men is that Na Wang Shik / Chun Woo Bin pursued justice while the emperor pursued revenge.
In the end, this drama is about the pursuit of happiness that ended up a pursuit of justice!
Did u watch it without fast forwarding? Because if u did fast forward scenes I can understand why u didn’t enjoy…
Hi, Thank you so much!!! :) I did watch it without fast forwarding it, still I disliked it immensely! You know, I asked myself at one point if it was the cast I really had an aversion to, so in my head I replaced the leads and the secondary cast but to no avail. Even if it had a different cast I don't think I would be able to appreciate it! I am looking forward to Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book! :)
Great article. I never thought about watching this drama. In fact I had no interest in it at all but then another MDL user pointed out to me that I should watch it and I ended up telling her that I would. I like to keep my word (as much as possible) so I did and I absolutely loved it!!! It's incredible and the OST wow!!! I am grateful for the MDL user who has reccommended this drama to me and to you for writing an article about it! It's more than deserving! Thank you so much!
I read the reviews and I wonder who no one has given this drama a 1 or a 2 or a 3. The script was bellow par, the acting was bellow pair, the scenery was bellow pair! It was awful from begining to end for me!
I admire anyone who has watched and liked this drama! Truly!!! I recognize it must have positives otherwise it wouldn't have such high ratings and beeming giggles all over Chinese dramaland, however for me, this is by far one of the worst dramas that China has ever produced!
I tried to watch it! I tried to like it! I really really really tried but for me this drama was an absolutely insanely dreadful torture!
I have no idea when exactly I've started watching Thai Lakorns but the one that really made me a fan was Kiss Me. For me it's the best version of Itazura Na Kiss. Sad it doesn't have a season 2.
Over the years I've watched quite a few and continue to watch quite a few along K-Dramas, C-Dramas and J-Dramas.
Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat, Khun Mae Suam Roy, Lah Ruk Sut Kob Fah, Muean Khon La Fark Fah & Plerng Naree top the list of my favourites.
I'm not a fan of Yaya but I watch her Lakorns if the story is good and while I I liked Kleun Cheewit I couldn't connect with The Crown Princess. If I had to choose a favourite Thai actress would be Matt Peeranee.
I'm a big fan of Pope, Nadech (I'm looking forward to My Love from Another Star remake) & Weir so I always keep an eye out for their work.
Thank you again for your article! I look forward to reading more of your work in the future!
I dropped all of the above dramas except "Come and Hug me". I really tried to like some very popular like Mr.Sunshine,Sky…
Come and Hug was one of my favourite dramas of 2018. I don't normally watch that type of drama but it peaked my interest following Just Between Lovers and I am glad I watched it! It was amazing!
You will love the photo book! It's amazing! :)

I am just wondering when Thailand will do a remake of Hana Yori Dango aka BOF. I am really looking forward to that!

I make a point in re-watching HYD S1, S2 and the movie once a year!

You have a picture of a Brazilian actress, an icon in Brazil, Renata Sorah and iKon's B.I. :)
The Brazilian telenovela fan in me is thankful, the iKon fan in me is thankful, so thank you!!! :)
I enjoyed your article. You should write more! :)
