I'm really trying to enjoy watching this drama but it's difficult for me to root for them as a couple when they make me think of Demi Lovato's song "29"... An "almost 30 year old" should never date a 17 year old under any circumstances. It's wrong to romanticize something like this. Even though Shin is the one pursuing Akira he is only 17 years old, he doesn't understand just how problematic their age gap is. Akira on the other hand knows it is wrong which is why he keeps pushing Shin away. It is Akira's responsibility as the grown up to put an end to a situation like this no matter what his feelings for Shin are.
I don’t understand why they made the sex scene look like a r*pe scene… it was quite disturbing. I know that this is from China so maybe the censorship makes it so that they’re not allowed to show a sex scene between two men if both characters seem like they enjoy it? I’m going to ignore that part and focus on the rest of the drama which wasn’t half bad. They seem to really love each other and so I choose to believe that they eventually end up together and will make each other very happy.
I loved it!! If only it had had at least one more episode! Haruki is clearly in love with Akihiko and I would have loved to see something develop between them. Also I really don’t like shows where the finale episode ends immediately after the main couple kisses/confesses feelings for each other, I want more!! I’m really really hoping for a season 2!
I just finished watching the first season and I’m so thrilled there’s gonna be a second season! It ended on such a rebellious/reformational note and I’m excited to see where they take the story from here.
