For those who say that they should wait for a mere 4 months, it's no big deal, and that they're being babies for making such a big deal about it. If you can truly empathize with other's feelings, you wouldn't easily comment like that.
It's not about the time, but the fact they're being forced to do something they're unwilling to do. It's basically telling them, everyone else in the world has the right to be with whom they want to be with and can openly be in a relationship, but they don't have the right to be in a relationship with whom they choose because it's effecting others from making money and it's hurting other people's feelings. There is a parallel that this show is showing, with people who are in hetero relationships viewing those who are not in hetero relationships.
Also, these companies own the product the 2 characters created or are a part of, but what they're saying is, not only do they own the product, they're also saying they own these 2 individuals, their private lives, and their freedom. These are powerful messages, and shouldn't be overlooked or skimmed past.
It's again showing how much oppression exists in our society.
Also, as Tum had mentioned, that 4 months was just an excuse, because after those 4 months they would again pressure then to continue to stay away from each other. It's not just 4 months, it's just them manipulating Nubsib and Gene to break up for good.

Not as annoying, arrogant and pompous but he's barely in the drama at all. The best thing is, unlike Finding Yourself, the FL is very sure of herself and knows what she wants. She would never let herself be manipulated into a relationship and she draws a clear line between her and 2ML (if you can call him a 2ML).

Is it my bday? I woke up and all of a sudden there are 4 new episodes to watch today!! Yayyy! Also, I saw some people having weird vibes about shixiong shimei types of relationships. It's not like a stepbrothers or stepbrother & stepsister relationship. Back then these sects are more like schools or boarding schools. Let me give people an analogy. Say, you decided that you want to enter a school or club that teaches karate. When you join, you're immediately the younger sibling (shidi or shimei) and those that entered that school earlier than you, they're immediately your older sibling. It's just a title and a show of respect, it has nothing to do with actual sibling relationships. [And they're not blood related and didn't even grow up together]. It's only natural for people who study in the same school to develop feelings for each other, as most commonly those are the people you interact with every day. Back then, there are rare occasions where the students of that school, would be able to go out and meet other people. So, a shixiong & shimei marriage is very common.

All of Priest's novels have happy endings! Some sad stuff happens to other characters though. So, there are sad endings for other people, but happy ending for the main CP. At least that's how it is in the book.
