^^^^ such an important mindset! genre and tone don't define quality. it's kind of the whole "if it's sad, tortured and deep it's real art and if it's happy and lighthearted it's shallow art" that you see in discussions of just about EVERY medium. people have been saying this about art since forever. once you let go of this way of thinking you'll have a much wider horizon.

it's a role reversal: female lead falling in love first, actively trying to go after and save the ML, being the one actively moving things forward etc. it's different from a lot of newer dramas because the trend these days is that the ML is the one that does all these things.
that's sadly the direction the industry is taking. many factors to blame, but the rising production costs, high appearance fees and influence of the streaming format among others are some of the causes.
