I'd say happy ending. Healing from trauma takes time but at the end Miss Baek and the child Ji-Eun are united. Definitely worth a watch.

I believe Miss Baek served some time in prison like a year, till then Ji-Eun might be living with Jang seop and his sister. At the end they are Miss baek visits Ji-Eun and they are united together.
