was not expecting the amazing comedic timing in this. i’m only at the end of episode 2 but i’ve paused a few times to chuckle at scenes, something about the deadpan kind of humor is perfect to me
Can you translate please? “Lavender “ marriage? And whose marriage? TAI
it’s a happy ending for the main couple, but yeah for shishio he ends up dating a woman. he says that he loves her platonically but can’t love her romantically and she’s okay with that because she’s in love with him. i definitely understand wanting to avoid this type of trope! however as this is the second couple they don’t have a lot of screen time anyway and they only get together at the very end. i’d say it’s definitely still worth watching because of the main couple☺️

“lavender” marriage is when a gay guy marries a straight woman. they don’t actually get married at the end but shishio comes out as gay and enters a relationship with izumi despite them both knowing that he’s gay
Totally agree watched it all in 1 day. Great chemistry acting and nice to have a different angle to classic BLs
yesss i loved the mix of law and romance, also how the characters were adults. sometimes it’s nice to have a break from bls set in highschool or college
was iffy about the relationship before starting, and i still am after finishing. i wish it was between like, a tutor and student or a young lecturer and college student or something. i do have to say i found the humor in this funny and there were sweet moments.
went into this with very low expectations and ended up thoroughly enjoying this. i would give it a solid 8/10. i think the pacing is very different to other bls which lead to some negative reviews. personally i liked that they got together at the start and the series focused more on their story as a couple instead of individually. that being said, i think the character growth was great, mostly within toma. watching him becoming more unguarded and sensitive towards other’s feelings was really nice. and i liked the conversations between the leads whenever they had struggles within their relationship. the conversation they had where toma explained that he receives the connection and warmth that mamiya receives from his family from mamiya himself was really sweet 🥹 overall, im glad i gave this a watch
