Ep 5. Another great episode. 1) I could so relate with what Shun said at the end of the episode. We all have roles to play in the society. But sometimes those roles could be hard for us to live up to. Especially in Asian societies, there are a lot of expectations from students to do well in school. But not everyone is able to live up to those expectations. Which sadly, leads to many students taking their own lives. Another eg - how women are expected to behave in society. It's a very delicate issue that they dealt with. 2) I will never stop talking about Haruto. I love his role. Just like doctors can't save everybody, similarly counselors/therapists/psychiatrists can't counsel everybody. I like how he established boundaries with his client. 3) Kouji. That's it.
ps : another ep of me fangirling over Shun >< also the subber's notes on top? So cuteee!!!! A big thanks to the subber for subbing this series!
Some things I'd love to point out -I appreciate how they handled the whole issue with the pregnancy. It was done…
I agree with you. You've perfectly summed up my feelings about this ep. I really love Mashiba's dedication to her job and I really admire her. While I also agree with Shun's philosophy about life, that there needs to be a healthy balance between work life and personal life. I feel like Shun doesn't really have any motivations and
goals in life. It is sad that his first two reaturants failed, but you need to keep trying. But, yes, it'll be great, if both Mashiba and Shun are able to come at a consensus by the end of the show. I am really looking forward to see how their relationship develops.
PS. I really enjoy your comments under every drama. Happy watching!
Ahh Shun ><. Where can I get a guy like Shun? I love the healthy relationship between the main leads. It's really great to see more Japanese dramas showing non toxic male characters.
On a side note: another thing I really love about the drama is that they have a character playing the role of a counselor. As a psychology student, I rarely get to see dramas with psychologists and counselors (not psychiatrists). So I'm really happy that finally we have some representation XD.
Just started watching this drama. I love the story and the characters. One thing I would like to point out here is that even though it's called 'I am Loved By a Genderless Boy' , it's got to do more with gender expression than gender identity. The main character identifies as a male but his gender expression is androgynous. A huge thanks to the subber for picking up this show!!
