Kdramas have gotten so advanced lately. Male lead kissing another woman in the first episode🥴 but wasn’t that basically harassment? If the scene was meant to be funny, I don’t think people would react the same way if the roles were reversed and a man kissed another woman because he was anxious about his marriage.

The Queen Mother got it from the girl she had planted beside place. Wasn’t that obvious?

That person doesn’t really have any answers. Just keeps twisting the story and giving confusing justifications to prove how bad the male lead is.

And what is he supposed to do after demolishing the crown? Become a matrimonial husband like someone else? Will Huiju’s family even return the company to her, since they only started treating her better after she handed it over? And what about the poor majesty who’ll probably get bullied at school after losing power?
Maybe I’m overthinking it but I really didn’t like this destroy the crown plot at all. I was hoping Ian would actually be hungry for the throne. It would’ve felt more satisfying, esp as a way to prove something to his late father.

Story depends on your preference but there's nothing wrong with male lead's acting. People just like to hate on pretty actor

I don’t really understand the original novel setup, regarding who the actual main characters were supposed to be. Were Prince Duan and Wanyin meant to be the leads? But wasn’t Wanyin always destined to become the demon consort?
And why was Dan so certain that someone would transmigrate for him? In the story, he was introduced as a tyrant, not as the male lead.

Kdramas always make emotional kiss scenes with slow motion and all that. Let us enjoy a more natural, hot kiss scene for a change.

Almost every modern Cdrama has the leads meeting as teenagers, separating and then reuniting later.K-dramas atleast keep the childhood connection as a flashback. But I do admire how loyal Cdrama fans are,they don't even complain about repeated tropes.

Do rom-coms even need any plot twists at all?

Most Kdramas have pretty weak soundtracks, especially in romantic or sad scenes. The opening song is good but the music playing when Huiju was crying was really bad😭A lot of OSTs don’t capture the essence of the characters. They end up sounding too generic or foreign instead of fitting the emotion of the scene.

Does anyone have a link to this drama’s original script? I couldn’t find anything on RedNote. I really want to see how much of a red flag he actually is, since people keep yapping about it. I didn’t find Xie Wei to be a red flag😛 so I’m curious how I’ll feel about Murong Qing Yi

Even older Kdramas weren’t great. They were trying to imitate Japanese culture at the time.

But after around 2016, they improved a lot.
This drama just doesn’t have that mature storytelling feel. It comes across more like a light, silly drama I’ve seen before in kdramaland only. It doesn’t really feel like a typical Cdrama at all

And with how many weaker Kdramas have been released in the past two years, this one shines among them

Forget everything else but Cdrama wannabe? Cdramas are getting popular now because they’re pretending to be Kdramas now. I’ve watched Cdramas before 2021 and those were shit

It’s okay. No series is for everyone. If you actually like both of them, I hope their next projects are more to your taste
