As someone who has followed the Chinese entertainment industry for quite a long time, I have to say this isn’t…
It’s okay to say this drama became female centric and that he was sidelined a little because of that. But I still saw him leading the character chart most of the time
I need a spinoff of QianQian and Qi Min meeting in present day and falling for each other, they would make a power…
I’m so sad for Qianqian. She got stuck in the palace, all alone and lonely, when the thing she wanted most in life was freedom. She should’ve just returned home.
The second leads had their carriage kiss scene cut off. There was also another scene where their bed was supposed…
Be fr. The main leads not being together has nothing to do with the second couple, who barely had any screen time. They probably had only one episode’s worth of screen time in the entire drama. Isn’t it true that the main leads managers are on bad terms in real life? Even the director mentioned it
Woww they did the main leads so dirty, like y cut the most anticipated scenes in episode 38, that scene was much…
The second leads had their carriage kiss scene cut off. There was also another scene where their bed was supposed to catch fire and they were meant to make out afterward, that got cut too, I think. Then the whole scene of Qimin retreating was cut as well.
How can you say they serve no purpose when their son is the future emperor? All the other things, I don’t want…
Literally. In that sense, if they hadn’t made out, how would their son even be there? Qimin, the main villain, jumps to his death because of Qianqian. How is that not important to the story? They have maybe a total of 45 minutes of screen time together throughout the whole drama, which is basically the length of one episode. You can skip it if you want. It’s not like they’re taking up the entire screen time.
How can you say they serve no purpose when their son is the future emperor? All the other things, I don’t want to spoil, happened because Qimin was too busy with Qianqian. So yeah, there is a point to him constantly making out with her.
Is there any chance they’ll start releasing two episodes a day now that they’ve been leaked? Waiting nine days when the episodes are already out there is something most people won’t be able to do
being through a lot does not mean you must be some psycho i know a lot of young ppl going through a lot as kids…
How do you think she got pregnant? In the scene where his guards throw her in front of him and he gives her the jade pendant, she was already pregnant there. They met before her saving him in the water. In the novel, he was assaulted. His nanny drugged him. The drama only gives subtle hints about it

Yes, that was truly evil. But I think he saw Baoer as a result of the assault. Imagine how a female victim would feel seeing a child born from her assault. Baoer isn’t at fault of course but I'm conflicted about it. He was also very young when he got drugged, like 14.
Wouldn’t showing Qimin getting drugged and assaulted have gained more sympathy for him? I see why they didn’t do it. I saw a comment saying that Qimin making her starve for two days wasn’t even in the story. I’m not sure how true that is. But either way, they’re villainizing him completely
I think her being from the modern world makes her resilience toward Qimin stronger, even if it doesn’t affect the main story.

His family looks down on him and even the people he trusted never truly supported him. They didn’t even make him the heir apparent. If he had been soft hearted, he would’ve been discarded long ago. He’s just doing everything to survive and to take revenge for his family.
Even the male lead wants to avenge his family, but somehow that isn’t seen as wrong. Except for keeping Qianqian chained, I don’t think he did much wrong. It’s just that he doesn’t have the main character’s fate on his side.
If she were a normal maid, she probably wouldn’t despise Qimin so much. She might even feel happy having someone obsessed with her and keeping her in a mansion. But she’s a modern girl, which is why she values her freedom so much. It actually makes sense within their story.
This is just another episode of building up her tending to his injuries😭we’ve been seeing this since the start of the show. They could stop now. I’m not a fan of repetitive scenes. Even today, they had two scenes of her taking care of his injuries. They could give us something different instead. Maybe that’s why I always end up shipping couples with fewer scenes, they can never get repetitive.
I don’t think Qimin’s story was meant to whitewash him. Qianqian said he’s not a victim. Even if he’s…
He’s very strategic, has a woman by his side and a son. He’s not some mad dog on the loose like the other Su brother. They needed his past story. It also creates a nice contrast with the male lead’s story.
