It’s been happening forever. I’ve never seen an older or unconventional looking actress being paired with a young, attractive male lead.

About the unrealistic standards,fictional shows can be unrealistic. If I just wanted to watch any random dating, I could’ve watched a couple on my campus😭

You said you wanted a show where the male lead had an ex and the female lead didn’t,just watch the new Kdrama Genie. The FL was a virgin and the ML had an ex girlfriend. Look, you didn’t need to dig up old shows, it just released this month.
If you want another show with an ML who has an ex and a contract marriage drama, watch Because This Is My First Life by the same actress. You can easily find the type of show you want instead of ranting about non existent inequality in the industry. I can seriously name more dramas named after ML than FL, even in Kdramas.
