So people who read the novel are saying she doesn't end up with anyone.
I read on some sites that she ends up with Tang Shao Yi (ML3) but other ppl say that she ends up with not one but goes to find him. Some think he's alive some think he's dead.
The whole assumption that he was a jiggilo was...really immature...And her whole superstition of his room decor...the character really doesn't seem like an adult. But-BUT-maybe that's just the misunderstanding plot device they decided to go with + the oh god we rented the same apartment cliche.

XingMan goes back in time multiple times using the white jade her mom gave her and attempts to save BaiZhe. On her last attempt, she threw the jade pendant into the sea and bids him a last farwell.
Back in the now changed-for-the-nth-time present day goes to place she threw it, and vainly looks over the spot she threw it, she screams at the sea as if speaking to him, "BaiZhe! I'm going to go to a far away place now, far from here!" He comes from behind "XingMan!" She suspects she's hearing things, "BaiZhe! Is that you? Where are you?!(hurhur lol)" "Xingman!!!! I've come back!!!!" She turns around (finally bruh) and they run into a deep embrace, and he explains that he went back after parting with her and found the pendant, put it on, and received all her memories and understood why she tried so many weird ways to save him. Having the memories, BaiZhe decided to give all his evidence to her brother, who solved everything with it. By doing all that he lived, and made his way back to her, as he now had something other than revenge to care about.
