So I read an article, and to sum up the reason, it's not due to violent content. It's because the content has been changed a lot, compared to the manhua. For example, Feng BaoBao's character: In this drama her facial expressions are not like what the manhua version character would have. (plz, I haven't watched yet, don't eat me, these ain't my thoughts, just summing stuff up) Her Sichuan dialect is also not authentic. There's a lot of standardized mandarin thrown in there.
I also read another one saying that they had to change some temple names etc., as those were names of actual temples etc.
To sum it up, they gotta fix it all somehow, and I'm a bit worried. This might have to go back into production imo, but if it does, I can wait. Better to do it good, than do it bad. As the manhua, which is the source material, has a LOT of fans. It even has an anime. (though i think the latest season got banned)
