This drama had both good and bad moments, mostly good but you can't overlook the bad ones. Started awful, then it gets you hooked. When you start expecting something from it, it falls flat.


Only the lead pairs stopped me from dropping it.
Theme song is great btw.

Even though I'm totally biased when it comes to Takeru Sato, it felt like this movie was incomplete, something was missing. Some scenes dragged and some were cut short. Sanosuke, Megumi and Saito Hajime should have had more screentime. The movie should have been atleast 10 to 15 minutes longer and should have included an aftermath scene. We never got to see Seta Sojiro again :(

Overall it's a really good movie but not great like previous three. Maybe my expectations were huge...

Suda sure looks a lot like Yamada Takayuki. It took me few seconds to realise it was him in the trailer.

They played "safe" in the last two/three episodes and gave a generic ending. Otherwise it would've been a great drama.

I don't have to tell how amazing this movie is, as others have already said that. The pace of the movie is just perfect(I personally like slow movies). The story unfolds slowly but beautifully. It's as if I was reading a good book ( then I found out, this is based on a novel, LOL) .

How come Japanese little kids act so well?!

There should be a "bat-crap-crazy" Tag for this drama.

She is living the "true" life that everyone's wishing for.

Watched 3 episodes two years ago and got hooked immediately... then had to wait untill it got subbed recently.
So, it started really well. I mean REALLY well. It's scary, hauntingly creepy and gets under your skin.
But, the last two episodes were kinda dull and predictable. Also the ending was somewhat disappointing.

Still a good suspense drama overall.

This drama is all about life. The subtle philosophy of life.

Don't know why i hesitated to watch this.

That's understandable. What I've found is that KDramas have a lot of viewers, almost 10 times more than JDrama. Whereas only Anime gets that kind of treatment not JDrama or JMovie.
Almost every KDrama has same plot i.e. romance (with good looking leads) which attract viewers. Also a happy ending is a must in KDramas. So people(mostly women in their 20s to early 30s; don't get me wrong, this is what I found out) watch it to escape from reality and to feel good; hence high ratings.
Personally I don't watch KDrama, I tried, watched few top rated dramas and guess what? I ended up DISAPPOINTED. Same plot, dragging story, plain characters(they are either good or bad person), predictable ending and lengthy_ 16-20 eps of more than 1 hrs each.
So I don't watch KDramas now and if you plan to watch some just subtract 1 star from overall rating. Yes they are overrated by 1 star.

That's my personal opinion.

yeah, that would've been nice but I think Mitsuru could not do it as his dad told him not not enter the shop's counter again.

May be he would succeed the shop when his mom would be old enough not to do anything on her own.

This year two dramas hooked me in. One in the beginning of the year (3 nen A gumi) and this in the very end.
A must watch drama.
