Imo, He didn’t order the death. They use ‘King Order’ as in punish by the law/ majority voice. He did tried to save him but the king here is just a puppet used by queen dowager and the politicians.

Even the story is good, if the ending is bad, I won’t watch. I’m just sparing myself from all that disappointment and depressing thoughts since I’m investing alot of time watching drama and it’s particularly to relax, not to make myself miserable. I'm so disappointed since I've been wanting to watch this for so long as all the teaser I saw in soc-med, it looks like this going to be a great wuxia-rom drama. But ugh.
