You don't know how much I wish for it, but I'm almost certain there won't be one. ๐ญ
What makes you say that :( There are cdramas that go on to have second and even third seasons i.e. The Strange Tales of the Tang Dynasty that aired/airing is on Season 3. Fangs of Fortune has a good storyline to continue from. I believe the open ending was no mistake.
Episode 12 was the pinnacle of this show...I could watch that episode over and over again and the emotions will still feel fresh. The military and combat sequences were delivered really well, coupled with amazing soundtrack and solid acting from the 3 main characters brought the show to the next level! Though ofc there were plot bunnies here and there because I suppose they had to adhere to the history books and not go off course but nonetheless, some scenes between characters could've been written better. Also, dunno if anyone else noticed this but I found it funny how fast the "news" travels in the show (considering its Joseon Era) - especially Sung Rok's alerting Seon Ho with what Hwi is up to conveniently when he's in hot soup, like how did you know that info so fast brah, you gotta phone? :D Anyways, this could be overlooked considering Seon Ho would race to try save his best friend the next minute.
This show was a solid 9/10 for me. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives in this show. A great show that appropriately depicts the brutality of war, the geopolitical theatre of founding countries and the harsh reality of living under a caste system yet the choice/free will we inherently possess in changing our destiny.
It was good, but the last two episodes left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't like how they resolved the whole…
Feel the same about the two eps...you could predict what was gonna happen towards the end. Storytelling became a bit weak, but nonetheless the acting and personalisation of characters carried the show.
This story tugs your heartstrings in more ways than one
Thank you for sharing your thoughts :)

Wishful thinking :)
Please let it be true that YOUKU will bring it back...
I'm not giving up hope :)
