yeah I don't really see the problem, males were jerks back then, and the FLs are excalty what I expect of them. none the less none of those characters are perfect.

2 sisters were kidnapped, and 2 MLs saved them, but they made them think they were kidnapped until they were "saved" by them.

yeah idk how the misogynistic theory came up, cuz they're definitely not, its based off historical times, women were treated so badly back then, but none of those characters are perfect to me, every single one of them have their flaws.

Firstly, I don't really like how they're trying to find a match for Ning, even tho her engagement was literally broken like a day ago, the idea of rushing into marriage was honestly not the move, in both cases of An and Xi. Could they just put the damn couples in their respective points?

Secondly, I don't like how this story feels centred around 1 couple, although I do love Yuxiao and Xingyue, this story is supposed to cover 5 couples, not one then surrounding them. They sure know to profit off the more popular actors in these dramas.

Thirdly, I have a love-hate relationship with the mother, She's funny, over the top and I actually like that about her, but I don't like her ideal of rushing her daughters into marriage, nor did I like the way she treated Qiong Nu a few eps back, can you really blame her for the supposed dead son? Like are you actually crazy or smth. She's not giving her kids time to decide, literally leading her kids into like a death door, cuz marrying without even a brief meeting is way beyond my understanding.

Lastly, on a serious note, the overused "marriage game" is the trope that I actually despise in romance dramas, I'm here to enjoy the couples I've been told will be together, not multiple people falling for once person. The overused multiple love interests, forced marriage (only acceptable if its between the respective couples, idc people can attack me for this) or the engaged to another then moving on to another. overused tropes need to be put to end immediately, I get this is fiction, but I'm here to enjoy the drama, if I wanted to watch something like this, I'd be into reverse-harem/harem dramas but I hate those.
