Good. Nothing against xiao zhan but because of his crazy fanatic fans, it will end up being all about him and…
I was thinking that that could be one of the main reasons why he rejected the role. Maybe he didn't want the same pressure surrounding his appearance on JoL and fans' disappointment because of his brief screen time to influence yet another season of this masterpiece series.
There is a huge quality gap in Liu Duan Duan's roles in JoL and Rebel Princess. The acting in the former is more mature, refined, subtle and convincing. Which is no wonder considering he shot Rebel Princess before he shot JoL.
Also, the ending of Rebel Princess made me want to kimchi-slap his ass 😂
I feel like a lot of ppl watched Joy of Life because of Xiao Zhan, so if he's out of the drama, then this will…
I had to google who this Xiao Zhan was... Yan Bingyun.
Listen, if people watched this drama from beginning to the end just for an an actor that showed up sporadically in the series, I think they don't appreciate how powerful and intelligent this drama is, and how amazing the main actors are. And those people don't really then need to watch season 2 in my opinion.
Seasons 2 and 3 are going to be produced no matter what, because the script, the production and all the acting cast are a wonder.
Such an interesting and charismatic actor. His role in "Joy of Life" was appealing and intimidating at the same time - just a perfect balance. Watching JoL again, I now see his facial expressions can be interpreted in a very different way and I'm definitely not bored!
Hopefully his side-kick role in "The Rebel Princess" offers him a similar chance to express himself!
"I know that not so many people are fond of either Park Shin Hye, Lee Jong Suk, Kim Young Kwang or all of them combined..." What a weird thing to say, borderline rude. So strange that the promotion for the drama isn't more positive and optimistic.
