Well .... obviously people care about ratings. Just like the people who paid actors and broadcast the show. I said the EXCESSIVE obsession is weird which is why I expressed that lol. Some MDL articles pop out consistent statuses for shows ratings to the point of exasperation.

Agreed. For me I think it's because I came into asian dramas from being a manga and wuxia novel reader haha. I like the feeling of following characters over a long period of time.

Sometimes alot of Cdramas can get convoluted haha, and drag on. Some are especially powerful and gripping despite their length (Nirvana in Fire, JOL, Love Like the Galaxy) but many drama fans get burnt out. As for Korean dramas they seem easier because they're often 16 episodes max.

Also, there were literally BTS fan comments complaining about casting on several blogs when this drama project first dropped but ok.
