Cheating always leads to unhappiness
I would like to start my review by acknowledging the controversial nature of this series and as a victim of childhood sa I have a very sensitive emotions around this topic. Two things can be true at once yes Wako and Yumeaki love each other and to them that's all there is to it but let's not pretend their relationship isn't wrong, she refuses to hold his hand in public because she might get arrested and even tells him this, she is well aware of the fact that their relationship is wrong and yet still choses to engage in it and the effect of their relationship is felt in her personal and professional life but Yumeaki is a child he shouldn't have to experiance friendship lose and social exclusion because this grown women couldn't put him in his place and help him understand that they are simple at two very different points in their life. She is selfish, point blank period.
Now that that rant is over and can talk about the things I like, the way this drama was shoot is very pleasing to me and my home girls, the OST is nothing to write home about but it did what it needed to, the drama sets tone so well, when the scene is awkward, tense, warm and even cold I felt it so well and the chemistry between the two leads were believable and really well acted.
I would have liked if Wako ended up with Tsuchiya if I'm being honest, sure he cheated on her but she cheated on Futa so I feel like everything balanced out and I'm still confused by that ending but happy because the way that I read that end scene is that she and Yumeaki don't end up together and I feel like that's for the best.
Please do the research before watching this drama, it's a very beautifully shoot drama but the subject matter might be upsetting to some. I will definitely be reading the manga this drama is based off of when I can.
