There is just something extra special between XY and XL that sets them apart from the rest. They feel real - like together they will not only face the good the bad and the ugly together but that they themselves ARE the good the bad and the ugly and that is okay.

Distracted by the princesses was the only thing I could think of as well. I wondered if I missed something. If it had been TSJ I would have understood - but CX or XL - it is harder to swallow it being that easy.
One thing bothered me from yesterday and if someone can set me straight that would be great. Xuan is ready to head back to fight and reclaim so he can be more powerful to protect XY but didn't that one girl just kind of kick his ass on the boat? I know he is strong and probably ready to do what he says but that one part and that one part only is bugging me - like he didn't come across so strong there - even if she is a formidable opponent - it was way too easy for her. It's bugging me and I wanted others opinions if you have them.

I totally agree. They gave a perspective - not of anger - which she clearly has the right to feel - but out of her own thoughts of what it means to be a parent. She didn't focus on what she herself would have or would not have done - but just what it means to be a parent period - factoring in the entire picture all overlayed by the fact she knew her father loved her. Amazing writing for sure.
