i’ve reached the conclusion that some may have unresolved anger issues so they direct them at chay. like girl…
I am still trying to get my head around the fact it is okay to criticize him because he is fictional but you can’t defend him because he’s fictional. 🤯
I kind of feel like your third paragraph is YOU taking opinions of fictional characters to heart. But that’s…
😂 😂 😂 You just made my point. What you originally wrote, what I responded to, was to me YOU taking opinions of fictional characters to heart.
Now since you ‘added’ words it reads a smidge different but it doesn’t change my original opinion. And just so you know I am totally fine with that being on me.
Chay probably can’t hear the music right now. After everything and I mean everything, not just Kim, he probably feels tone deaf.
It’s not just about being hurt by a boy. He was used. And used in a way he could have potentially hurt his brother. And his brother is caught up in a new mafia life that got Chay kidnapped and beaten and drugged and tazered. Let’s be real, grown ass adults gonna be claiming PTSD. Why do people expect Chay just to bounce back and not be fundamentally affected? I’m confused by this.
It’s painful to watch Chay’s choices but my heart goes out to him. He probably feels lost and adrift, hurt and humiliated, betrayed and heartbroken. The music he loved, influenced by Kim, has now been crushed by him. Kim’s actions were more than just turning Chay down. It wasn’t just an I don’t like you. Kim told him literally, you were never ANYTHING.
So Chay, who has always felt unlucky, was suddenly and unexpectedly given this precious gift of Kim, to only be told later, after experiencing a life and death situation and discovering lies from the person he trusted most, that this gift was all just a lie, too. So yes, right, He should just shake all that off and go back to business as usual. Huh?
Now, I have no doubt Chay will regroup and get back on track. There’s more to him and Kim and I’m curious as to how they play that out. Despite some of Chay’s dumber choices he is smart so I think his character growth through this will be fun to watch.
I kind of think Kim is the one who needs to be worried now.
I am just salty over the lost potential of VegasPete. Their story is capable of shaking the bl world but the adaptation…
The essence of VP was removed. As soon as that happened it could never be recaptured with a rewrite no matter how hard they tried. It’s not horrible, it’s just not what is wanted. VP book and VP drama are really two different stories.
