I'm not a surprised. A lot off viewers can't differentiate between the actor and the character so just because they find TM's actor attractive, they ignore the character's behaviour.

they never mention such a thing and she probably wouldn't have because it'd reduce the number of episodes. the writers need to put as many obstacles as they can to make the misunderstandings/searches last 120eps. If it was remotely realistic, she would've put up flyers and ads, she would've used social media, would've visited where they lived and asked around cuz no way they left and didn't keep in contact with even one person.
