Aced in acting but barely passed in everything else.In the end bad definitely overpowers the good. My guess is…
How so? Bad overpowers the good? I didn't get that in the drama.

Title Itaewon Class Spoiler
Not to mention how the entire show seemed to center around the lead being steadfast and unchanging in his convictions,…
I respect your opinion. But at what point in the scene when he kneels in front of CEO Jang does he give up his convictions or become corrupted? I didn't get that part.

And, even if he hadn't fallen in love with Yi Seo, I believe he would kneel down to save her life - or anyone else important to him, since it was her life at risk and not her career. Especially after he had that coma experience and was able to rethink important aspects of life with the help of his father.

The romance is personal, if you didn't like it, it's your opinion and I can't want to impose anything on you, I respect it. But that wasn't a big stalemate in the scene, it went way beyond that. And in the end the one who lost was CEO Jang himself, while Saeroyi only had one more apprenticeship.

Sorry, but where you see a big change of his character, I see an improvement. No one in the world is immutable. And do you really think he would refuse to kneel and leave the life of someone important to him (whether romantic or not) at risk? I think that would be a real betrayal of the character.

this drama started out well, but idk... by the time I got to the second half, the characters became ridiculously…
He would kneel down to save Yi Seo or anyone else important to him (I won't go into the subject of "ship" because I think this is personal, but it's not cool to belittle a character just because your ship went wrong). At no time in that scene did Saeroyi 1. give up his convictions and morals; 2. lost whatever it was to CEO Jang, and 3. neglected the "revenge" he sought so much. At that moment he realized that there are things in the world that are more important than revenge or "kneelling down", something that he could also understand while having that moment with his father while he was in a coma. And this drama is basically about it, which is why I - now speaking more personally - loved this character so much.

I agree with you that the story is not new and is something beaten in the dramas - revenge... but it doesn't disqualify the drama as a whole.

And, just to make a plus, when he knelt for Yi Seo it wasn't her career or anything else banal that was at stake, but her life. And, as his father said, "you can get over anything as long as you are alive".

Title Hi Bye, Mama! Spoiler
I cried for most of episode 9. Mostly for her parents. I don't have children so I truly don't know what its like…
I am saddened mainly by her parents and Yu Ri when it comes to Seo Woo... It's sad that you see your daughter and cannot treat her as a daughter or see her calling someone else, no matter how good that person is, of mother.
And Min Jung is so pure it makes me even more sad.
I believe Yu Ri is holding on to not hurt Gang Hwa and not to force anything on him, since she thinks he loves Min Jung. And Gang Hwa must be confused - not about his feelings, but about hurting Min Jung, because he cares about her.

Disappointed is the word I use to describe how I feel about this drama now. It seems that at a certain moment the writer lost the thread and took the story in a completely different way.

My biggest indignation is Seol Ah's relationship with Jin U, and I hope they won't be together in the end, because at no time did I feel all the love he says he feels for her. He is a spoiled man who has never had a no in his life and when he has, he needs a yes at all costs, it is annoying. I apologize to anyone who likes him.

And the worst thing is that now with all his meddling in the family and in her life, I don't see any room for Tae Rang anymore... and I think he deserved better. He never put himself in front of Seol Ah's feelings, he always respected her and thought of her first. Was he who made her see what was really important in life and what? None of this matters because the ex-husband who cheated on her and never thought about her feelings, just obsessing over hearing her say she loves him, came back sorry and willing to do all kinds of childish and idiocy to get attention. Sorry, but that didn't convince me at all.

This writer did the same with another drama (I Have a Lover) that I dropped because I can't swallow the person letting go of certain types of attitudes because of an alleged regret and a colossal love, and there was never a demonstration of that love.. And the worst is a guy without an ounce of shame for everything he did.

I hope to have an at least satisfactory ending because it was very sad to see the decline of this drama.

I was thinking the same thing, but if that thought is because of Min Jeong, I think it is not wrong... she is…
I made a comment for the analysis I had watching the drama, if you don't like the idea or the possibility of Yuri staying alive and are using Min Jung as a reason, well it's your opinion, you can always drop a drama.
Now, trying to force a relationship because you think it's unfair for one person to return to life and so many others don't... you are wanting to get into a subject that goes well beyond the history of the drama and what was actually being discussed in this post... and it's not advisable to discuss here.
I remain with my opinion, thank you for exposing yours and I hope you can find something good watching this drama. God bless!

I was thinking the same thing, but if that thought is because of Min Jeong, I think it is not wrong... she is…
I never said Min Jung didn't care about her husband or her step-daughter... but let's face it, they're not a real couple. She is not happy because she knows that their relationship isn't something real. He has respect and affection for her, but he doesn't love her as a husband.
And she has shown several times that she's overwhelmed, because she is living someone else's life, caring for someone else's daughter and loving someone who doesn't love her. They don't talk, they don't spend much time together, their interaction is strange. So, it is much better that she put her life on track and do something that makes her happy.
Well, it's a fantasy drama... anything can happen. And expecting her to stay alive (because she is currently alive and not dead) is not unacceptable.
