LLTG - first 1-20 eps are good...21-end are just mind blowing LBFAD - starting is nice...middle is amazing...ending is okay
LLTG is realistic with story,characters,relationships etc...the development of each character is unique...chemistry, acting, support characters etc are awesome...romance and family/politics have equal proportion... its basically kind of real life story
LBFAD is fantasy....opposites attract theme...the characters are unrealistic(coz its a xianxia)....but the story, theme, chemistry n acting is nice....romance is main n war/power also have considerable time it is kind of imagination...

trust me dont drop this...i dropped this after watching 15-17 eps coz the leads werent even close till then n FL was with some other male... but then i restarted it....n tried to understand n realised it is a realistic story where there are no unrealistic coincidences n everything has a reason n every character has its own importance....but the story took a huge turn n became more n more interesting after ep 20-24....n then the plot twist, chemistry, the palace people(emperor,empress, concubine) made me hooked....n it remained interesting till the very end...
so after watching this drama the second time I found out a few things I didn't realize the first time, FL was…
niao niao was her biological daughter...the aunt schemed to make her parents abandon her at birth...not to forget they were twins but her mother decided to leave her behind without even second thought or protest (this was discrimination b/w boy n girl).... niao niao lived a life worse than hell...n her aunt never treated her well n never educated her as she wanted to raise her to be useless... when general n his wife returned they got to know the situation...the mother instead of taking care of her or teaching her with love decided to be strict...she compared her with her cousin all the time (her cousin was well taught n grew up with care and love whereas niao niao suffered while growing up and thus learnt to scheme to get her rights...but her mother didnt understand this)... her mother always saw her negatives n criticized her for the smallest thing possible...she demeaned her n praised others...overall the most toxic mother ever... but here we have the empress who became mother to our little girl who yearned for love...she taught her with utmost care and sincerity and treated her like her own daughter...she was truly an angel (the palace n the people there were more like home n family than her own biological relatives)...this is also the reason niao niao started to live in the palace instead of her home filled with toxic people...n then her mother got jealous n regretted her actions...later the empress died(saddest part) n after that only the mother daughter reunited ....but still the position of empress in niao niao's heart was always above her mother... n that's why people say relations are made from heart not blood

overall smooth...misunderstandings are cleared very quickly(except the last one..which was a mistake n not misunderstanding n separation was reasonable )...the support characters are amazing...
