That part initially I thought why he'll save that @$$HOL3 but then maybe he suddenly became clever to think that if that guy dies, it'll implicate the clan... it is just so inconsistent that it looks stupid. All started well but I didn't quite like episodes 13 & 14. The guan qi sequence had just too many potholes that it seemed silly and far-fetched... and a bit draggy with the bloodfest... ML a bit irritating here. Hope this quan qi story ends soon. Only good is the development between the leads.

Yes! As compared to the many wuxia wannabe dramas nowadays... Those try to put in so many weird characters and storyline... This is so straightforward, the villains are normal ambitious people.

SMZ when he first appeared I thought he was a support character, especially at close up and when he acted cool... but I think it become much better as the character develops.

Started watching this early this week and now just finished ep. 11. Must say this is the type of wu xia drama that works right for me. Nothing too complicated even though there are many characters, probably cos I understand Mandarin. The characters are more like those of the classic wu xia novels of the yesteryears. Most of the scenes look great, a bit of cringy awkward scene but still okay. Initially not too sure about the actor playing Su Meng Zhen...

I like how this went, very well thought of... it is unlike the other short dramas which everything shouts "low budget!".

Just binge-watched 7 episodes last night... short episodes that kept me interested.

I just heard from my Chinese friends that it is really hot in China now, and the ML is likeable in the later episodes... but the story is heartbreaking.
