Sigh. So many people not understanding the point of the body swap even after it's explained both in the comments…
I'm guessing its too complicated for a sageuk kdrama for some international viewers lol when its translated in subtitles and has typical historical politics stuff. Show is much more popular domestically and viewers complimented Sejeong and Taeoh on their tone, acting and everything. Maybe its an easier pill to swallow without the language barrier

Best drama in Sejeong's filmo so far, regardless of popularity or notoriety tbh. Drama had everything from acting, storylines, OSTs and gotta thank the director for amazing production value. The drama was artistically shot consistently through, with beautiful camera shots.

Also seen some comments calling this a historic romcom, but have to disagree with that term. The cast themselves also mentioned this but this was much more of a tear-jerking, emotional drama with splashes of comedy on the side.

Review Moon River
Seems like you started the drama with a prejudice mindset, cos this drama was anything but a "romantic comedy" template and you would know when you watch literally the first twenty minutes in like you said, and it's even more clear if you have the patience to watch more episodes.

And who are you to judge what kinda scripts actors decide to pick up and do lol. Sejeong mentioned Brewing Love was a drama she decided to do because it was personal to her, knowing her relationship with her grandmother who passed away few years ago, as well as working together again with director Park Seonho, who they worked together in Business Proposal.

Comment only asked about the scheduling change, but look who's being a party pooper commenting about how bad the drama already will be.

One thing you can guarantee is this director (Lee Dong Hyun) has fantastic cinematography and storytelling. His other dramas like Bitter Sweet Hell and Doctor Lawyer were shot beautifully and I think will go really well with historical drama, especially if they can get some good OSTs like most historical dramas usually do

Aren't these guys tired of telling the same stories over and over again?
Lol just don't watch it if it doesn't suit your taste. And how many original stories can you really tell at this point. It's all bits of ideas from here and there and it's the actors and directors who make it little bit different into an "original story".

When you have so many broadcast stations (SBS, KBS, MBC, tvN, JTBC, ENA, etc.) airing multiple dramas week after week for like decades now, let alone even OTT making original dramas (Netflix, Disney+, TVING, etc.) now, there's gonna be a rehash of some ideas but the stories all have their own spin to it.

There's gotta be some kind of stuff happening behind the scenes for two male leads to drop out back to back. And to actually have this news reported and come out as well.

Sejeong is casted as female lead, which would be her first Sageuk drama 😍😍 Curious how they would adapt this since it's supposed to be a historical version of Secret Garden!!

Remakes are always tough to evaluate since people are naturally going to compare the original to the adaptation,…
People always complain about castings in remakes and adaptations because directors don't always go with the image and fantasy or direction that fans have in their heads. Just like remakes, fans complain a lot about webtoon adaptations. Not saying directors are always 100% perfect, but just like how fans initially complained about Ahn Hyoseop in Business Proposal, or Na In-woo in Marry My Husband, then those turned out to be big hit dramas in recent history.

It's really sad to see some people making unnecessary comparisons here and the drama hasn't even aired yet. I…
Well said. I first saw Jung Chaeyeon's acting in Reunited Worlds with Yeo Jin-goo and her crying scenes with the funeral already got me. Her introduction scene in King's Affection also showed she can pull off the bubbly character. And her scenes with Park Eunbin in the room when she found out her real identity is also another highlight.

Yeah this is definitely pushed back to after Olympics since there's not even a confirmed airing date, let alone script reading pics or any kind of teasers/posters. I don't mind it tho, if it means we get a better drama and editing that's not rushed.

What happened to Kim Se Jeong?? From acting with the good actors to acting with a C list actor??
Sejeong's worked with Business Proposal's director before and I think she's choosing works that she likes. I mean, she's literally done musicals and theatre plays before so I don't think she's chasing big names or commercial success, as much as works she's passionate about.

jTBC has a good track record especially recently in these types of family, homey feel of dramas, like The Good Bad Mother and Welcome to Samdalri, so I'm really looking forward to this.

I reckon they will be adapting things differently since the original was a massive 46-episode daily drama as usual for many Chinese dramas, compared to a typical 16-episode Kdrama. That should be good tho, keeping things straight forward rather than dragging out plots.
