The writer probably had some like traumatic childhood or some kind of turning point while writing this and suddenly had an epiphany to 杀(sha) literally everyone who mattered (except for Yang Ying -- thank god the writer had some conscience left).

wow, took me quite some time to finish this... i started this for lu yu xiao and shouldve just ended there. other's sisters' stories werent as interesting, series just goes downhill after the 1st 10 eps. i couldnt take it anymore so i dropped it, and just read the rest of the plot on Gemini.

I also love it when my guesses about the story is right. I knew there was a secret behind his birth and that the ML is really not the emperor's son. I was right! I just didnt guess the the grandmother was behind the poisoning. I thought it was Rong or maybe even the emperor himself and he was just lying, cause he wasnt really his son.
And the dying scene, and the episodes where he was dead, I kind of wish they were more emotional. But since they didnt make it as emotional, I guessed that he might rise from the dead, and voila! he really did! It just took too long tho. I was already skipping a lot of scenes towards the end just to see his comeback, and they just had to show only for a few minutes ?? -- thank god for the special episode. I just kind of wish they showed how he faked his death and all. Maybe its in the novel? Enlighten me if anyone knows!!
Oh, and the second couple! I cant not talk about them. They are so cuteee! I was more invested in them than the main couple in the beginning. They were the reason why I stayed.

Was getting frustrated at how the FL is such a hard nut to crack. The whole story picked up when they finally got married. And Ep 27 onwardssss, muy bien!!
omg i just finished this masterpiece! havent rated a drama a 10 in a while now, and a xianxia even for that matter, which typically isnt my style! but damn, the plot, the love, sacrifices, costumes, i love everything about it. the butterflies it gave me, i felt it at the tip of fingers and toes.
Plus, ML's so handsome!!! <3 Also, the way the hold hands!! i feel like something is missing if they're not holding hands! so cute!!
