I like PBG in this drama but the characters are no near to be compared to IC and that does not have anything to do with their gender identity. He was trash, manipulative to the very end even the part of the suicide. Of course Dr. Ji deserved more, and I agree with you that they could have taken a path where she starts to think in herself. Altough, I dont think that her ending was a punishment, I think that she accepted that to get what she wanted she went overboard (she even kidnapped her own child) and at the end she learned that sometimes we need to let things stay still. We didnt see what happened in the year she was alone, hope she did get the fun she deserved.
