Yeah, Jiwoon isn't the typical apatic male lead we have on k dramas, but still is that stereotyped angry/bossy/cold male lead that I'm a little bit tired....

People tend to put Bright in this box that he wasn't willing to do a gay role, when actually he had to insist to his family to do this job and already said he would do other gay roles if he likes the sript.

If he quits BL or even the entertainment industry it will be cause of how his personal life/family/friends were treated by BL shipers and haters.

It had HUGE ratings. Not popular abroad or online (where Bls take over), but huge with advertisers and regular whatchers.

Just see how different, diverse and expensive the sponsors shown are from the traditional BLs

This has a great premise, but very ambituous. Some settings are indeed low budget.

This is solid consedering its running time. Some issues I have with it are either cause of the format (they couldn't *show* the characther's background, so they had to put them *saying* it) or a korean cliche (apatic male lead).

Though I was pissed cause they've been baiting us with JJFiat pairing even though we know they won't end up together, they made a really good job showing that Waan's fascination towards Pure was due to Pure power of seduction and how strong with his sexuality he was. It's something new on BL to have the queer characther confident and the straight friend insecure asking for help.

But that HIV plot... I don't know. While I believe it was about time they include this plot on a BL, I'm afraid to see how they'll handle this. Putting a promiscuous bi characther as an HIV positive can be tricky and fall into some stereotypes.

I'm only whatching JJ and Fiat's scenes, but I have to say that the plot and the characthers are really good. I think I've never seen a thai series dealing with real insecurities teenagers go through while keep that "BL" aura as this series.

Some spoilers on the reply.

This series is really well scripted, directed and acted. It really feels it is a professional TV shows. Too sad people aren't paying attention enough to this.

And Why R U and TharnType were master class of fetishism. WRU even have TWO episodes of 2 dudes just fucking around LOL And TTTS is the epitome of female writer fetishism doing disservice towards the gay community. That show (and the script writer) are pure trash.

Do you want steamy shows where the sex scenes are either essential to the narrative or where their only porpouse isn't fill in for the lacking of quality? Check Ponographer, Mood Indigo or Friend Zone (spoiler: this one has straight and gay sex scens treated equally).

The point is straight shows don’t put steamy scenes just to bait audience. Actually its very rare in Asia. If only poorly written gay shows showcase this, the perception it will give is that lame gay productions succeed only due to being explicit. And that’s TERRIBLE for the community ;)

We don’t need to praise this kind of usage of steamy scenes. If this was a well written show, I wouldn’t be complaining about people praising the sex scene, but it’s not the case.

Lame shows like this and So Much In Love relay on this kind of stuff to get audience, and it works cause fetishist people only care about this
