literally the dumb dumb lives on a planet of her own. She is so self absorbed and yet I still feel oddly sympathetic…
I'm trying so hard to like her, but she just keeps disappointing me over and over. I get that she's young, has been uber sheltered, and was very abused by her ex - but, she needs a growth arc like crazy. She's over here fantasizing that she's the filling in a GQF and SRZ sandwich with absolutely zero comprehension of either dude's motive. Wouldn't she be a LITTLE more careful with her heart after everything? She makes me face palm, for real.
I finally realized this morning that Chi Pan's weird walk was reminding me of Benny Hill (I might be too old for this reference to be relatable), and I laughed so hard. I will be hearing BH theme in my head whenever he walks somewhere now.
That comedic character, Chi-something is SO annoying. After episodes of his absolutely obnoxious antics, I almost…
The captain of the palace guard (I think)- I don't think he's all that terrific of a character, but that one scene where they went as a group to threaten the tea house and another random group was there to threaten the tea house, but they fought each other instead? I laughed so hard at that scene that I had to go back and watch it again. I thought it was a clever bit of randomness, and I loved how the supposedly tough "gangs" were both so chicken. Humor is such a matter of personal taste though.
I'm thinking of watching this but wondering if I should/just wait until it finishes airing. I didn't watch the…
I haven't watched any other version than this one and I'm loving it. The thing is, it's really campy - so everything about it is a little goofy (even the serious parts). To me, an annoying character is an over-powered villain or someone too stupid to live. In this, the villains are the ones who end up acting too stupid to live - so with every "win" they have, there is some humbling experience that happens soon after (which really works for me). I'm not impressed with the FL's acting style (her face isn't very expressive imo), but there is some really great comedic acting going on otherwise. Because it's so campy, a lot of the characters are over-the-top extra which adds to the fun. The plot is just straight dumb, plot device driven, what you would expect, from a campy comedy. Not a single thing has been believable. If that's not your thing, then this might not work for you. I look forward to each episode. It makes me laugh. I think the ML (while not the absolute best actor) is very endearing and has some really funny moments after the first few episodes. So, I think it depends on your taste in dramas if you should watch it or not. I wanted something fun and stress-free to watch, and this has really hit the spot for me.
