Hmm. I'd buy a one-floor apartment. Or maybe a studio-apartment. Making sure that their are no neighbors or not so noisy. Animal-less neighbors.
I like the city, I wouldn't go into the suburbs.
I wouldn't mind having a noisy neighbor 'cuz I have a noisy family and I mostly put on headphones and go to sleep.
Plus you get some entertainment when you're bored. xD

I don't think age matters when it narrows down to this.
It's more about choice and taste and stuff like that.
