So if I understand, Your saying that Korea is the opposite? Thats interesting. So, you mean like in the dramas when the stereotypical women complains about x,y,z..it's actually a common thing? Or is that just cases?
I just searched the word in Chinese and it makes sense that it comes from Buddhism. It means along the same lines and the website says it can be attributed allot to Japanese culture mainly and contributes allot to their mentality after the earthquake. Maybe thats what you found already? Wow, Thats really something. Thats scary admirable.

Western culture definitely doesn't take kindly to complaining. xD
I don't remember learning any specific phrases pertaining to anything like that if I did? Theres still so much I don't know. Maybe I'll ask my chinese teacher about it? Wow, learning new stuff everyday. Thank you for sharing.

Yes! Thats was so sad! I had no clue Werewolf boy was going to be that sad! I thought it was just going to be a nice story but after watching it the posters and comments make sense xD.

And thats so interesting! I didn't know there was a name for such a thing. I noticed it in Japan but you saying that makes so much sense! My exchange student had that same mentality. I also pushed it off as her personality (although quite allot of it may be.) I think that is admirable also because it takes allot sometimes to grin and bear it in situations where all you want to do is scream out. But nobody want's to hear the person with everything complain about petty things, especially things that can be easily fixed or changed. (which is also a personality flaw. xD darn psycology). But I also agree its not great to pent things up. There's a balance in there somewhere?

Sorry, for the lateness!! But it seems like you have been busy too? xD
And omg, that is horrible. I have read and seen allot of things about N. Korea but its a whole different thing to hear it from a first person perspective. This makes you pose allot of questions about life in general. Makes you feel really, hopeless really.

I understand! It would be odd to classify people into good and bad personalities when you don't usually. We do frown upon certain aspects of a person's personality rather then them as a whole.( At least I hope we do). In china, intelligence is glorified among other things but there were quite a few happenings I saw that Im still not quite sure what to make of it, so I really coudn't tell you for certain what is glorified or not. But! I know from experience that when a foreigner visits they learn to just accept what happened and say, "Its china." Thats the answer I got to allot of questions I asked. Even to the students to the point where I accepted it myself and when people ask me questions along these lines I just say the same thing. (sorry got a little off topic xD)

Gosh! I love learning/talking from/to you! Please tell me what else you have come to discover?

It's great your getting to know your students! You seem like a great teacher and I'm happy people like you are in the force because you care about actually teaching students! It's great you make that extra effort to reach out to the kids. And oh, gosh! I hope that everything turns out well and you get to stay at the school and teach the knew kids what you learned!
And I really like how you word things, I think your exactly right, Western culture does focus on the individual more so then the group in certain aspects of life( or traits). You put that very well! Confidence is key as they say, and your right. I believe its because of how hard we have to 'fight' in out economy to get the things we want. We fight for jobs, school, resources and you need a certain level of 'confidence' or you'll get pushed aside. At least that how I feel when I leave in the morning.

Also! Did you know that a while back there was a huge scandal dealing with idols/bands and their companies. The companies were investigated and found that many of the stars had 'slave contracts'. They were completely unreasonable contracts that hold true to the name. Allot of companies were hit but for some reason they didn't investigate SM? (if they did, I wasn't aware of it). And under allot of SM contracts the idols have pretty much life contracts that limit their money also. In come contracts they aren't even allowed to date! (Which is ridiculous). I. Every member gets a different pay grade too depending on their appearances/ dramas/ songs. etc. K-pop idols are held at such high standards to the point where they seem to be nothing but perfect and I just believe that it unfair. But I guess its not too much different here.

YES! I watched werewolf boy for the first time and it was A-MA-ZING! I cried so hard and it didn't leave my mind for 2 days. There are a few things I didn't like about it but the rest was so good i overlooked it! And thats saying something for me! xD Have you seen it?

I had a hard time in my life when I was younger where I was suffering through allot and DBSK literally saved me. Yunho became my reason to go on. I know it's kinda odd, but just thinking, "Yunho can do this! So can I!" (I mean he went from being homeless to being the leader of tvxq!) I see him as a role model and I thank him for his indirect way of helping me. xD I learned though the inter webs that allot of people did the same thing. xD So although I will always have biases in different bands, Yunho is always my number 1 star!

Gosh! School really never seems like its going to end. I remember highshool and it was horrible! Kpop/jpop was the only thing keeping me going. Ive been at it for 3 years now and I'm just tired! What I suggest to student's before coming to college is taking a brake (semester or so) so that you have at least a little rest before you jumping into college life. But it does have its perks! Like, your treated like an actual adult! Crazy right?

*gasp* Pretear would make an awesome movie. :D I think Hot Gimmick is the perfect story to be adapted into a drama.…
OMG! Hot gimmick would be a PERFECT k-drama! They wouldn't have to change anything. xD But I have to say I liked the half-brother ending the most.

So sorry for the SUUUPER late reply! school and blahblahblah! xD

Anyway, YES! VOODOO DOLL. OMG. It is one of the best song's, music videos, dances…gosh it was good. Just the fact it for an 'explicit' title is enough for me! That whole video is just genius! I really adore it! I am soo into VIXX right now its ridiculouse.
and EXO's new song came out but I haven't watched it yet. Waddya think?

And I believe SHINee has allot of sounds they are able to perform perfectly, just some of them are misses? But every great band has some not so good songs. xD Like DBSK's humanoid's album. Apparently allot of people didn't like it to the point Changmin actually apologized in a way. There was only a few songs I liked but that didn't stop me from buying it xD

So whats been up with you lately?

Your a different type of brave! Just having the courage to go to another country is one type of brave and the desire to be outgoing and dynamic is just another brave! Shy and nervous are fine! xD

Yes! I got the same thing when I was there, I had to tell them That I am not but allot of my friends are. Its hard to help them understand the many different types of people that live here when they only see and few american and actually get to talk to them.

So sorry for the lateness! I got busy once again! I feel horrible. Anyway!

Thats really interesting!! So your a second mentor to your students? aww. must be cool to have a foreign teacher :D

And yes it is! Allot of the people hate SM. They are a money grubbing, slave contract peoples that can't pay their artists for anything BUT the artists under them are brilliant! So its really annoying. Im sure JYJ has a different fan club, I'm just not a fan of them so I never bothered learning them. xD
I can't say Yoochun is my fave though. Yunho is! He is my freaking idealistic god!

Title Fabulous Boys Spoiler
Coming from a person who didn't watch or like the korean version and only watched 4 episodes of the Japanese version- I enjoyed it! The characters all had good chemistry and all acted really well! It made me cry, laugh and question how they got such a nice house! My only problem was that the story line in the last 3 episodes felt like it dragged on and I really dislike how quickly the plot dealt with Jeremy's and Jiang's feelings. They barely focused on Jeremy and he had one of the best scenes in the whole drama!

I enjoy how you explain it. Its great to express your feeling without having to worry about the repercussions, but i guess that could be a bad thing? But, I guess thats what comes with traveling to another country. xD Adaption.

Actually! There were so many times in china that I was wondering if they were mad at each other or not! The language uses 3 tones they have to make sure each one is heard or it could mean a completely different word. And yes they could talk loud too, especially these too older men in the morning outside my dorm window! But from was explained to me is saying "Hello" Is making a personal connection with that person. Its not like in America where you can greet someone and them you and never speak to each other again. So relationships are often steadfast. And I was actually asked pretty simple questions like music, sports. My more personal relationships asked more.

That is so great! Your host-mom is a cassi? xD awesome!! I will def. watch that next! I'm excited now. If you find any rom-com's that you want to share with me please do! And I know what you mean! It's like listening to a song you like from a band you dislike. xD
It's understandable though for someone who has been from one country to another. Its like your taking a piece of home with you to another country xD
You're so amazing! I admire your courage to teach! Im sure you are a great teacher!
Really? They asked you such personal questions? Thats so interesting! I mean, I would understand them being curious about an american life and they are probably very interested in your relationship too because they are themselves! xD I understand, I wouldn't understand how to respond either :p

My friend in china would call her teacher her second mom and the teach would often give her love advice.
