Something about the ML really put me off this one, which is too bad, because it's well-written and the story grabbed me right away. I really tried to hold on but his facial expressions and mannerisms were throwing me off a lot, almost creeping me out. So I had to drop this after a few episodes. Thankfully I took everyone's advice and watched the Japanese version instead and the ML's performance in that version feels much more natural. The chemistry between him and the FL is also on a completely different level than here. At the very least, I'm glad I found this drama so it could lead me to the Japanese one, because I would've never known the Japanese one existed otherwise.

A lot of his crying scenes have been made into memes because they're that bad. He is awful.

His acting is fucking MID what are you talking about? He's always been overrated. I've dropped every drama of his I've ever seen because of this. The industry will be better without him. Bonus points that no more underaged child actresses will have to worry about him touching them against their will like he did with Kim Yoo Jung when she was 13.

Yep he just enjoyed watching her squirm. I got the same vibe when he gave Kim Yoo Jung an unwanted hug when she was 13-years-old (a hug that she was clearly very uncomfortable receiving) and then said during the press tour for their tv show that he couldn't wait for her to get older and play his love interest one day. It won't be proven false because I've seen enough evidence to know that he groomed her when she was a minor. So I will sleep peacefully.
