I really loved Hot stove league , it's one of my fave kdramas.
I tried Dear my friends, but for the moment is a bit on the depressing side for me and put it on hold. Will come back one day to it.
The other two seem also interesting. I hope to get to them one day too :)

i know i loved HP also the feelings it gives to the watcher is totally different , this is one of the dramas that…
HP was a really good slice of life practically :)
I want to watch by the end of the year both Reply 1988 and Prison playbook since they have the same director (and I really liked Reply 1997 too) .
I think one more season will make me happy enough ^^
KendallM Nov 14, 2020
I agree with only the first 3 for now (haven't watched the rest yet, but Reply 1988 I plan to soon), especially HP ♡ . I rewatched it at least 3 times entirely and partially much more (I rarely rewatch stuff ) . I still enjoy the videos they put on yt with the making off and the auditions of the actors :)

Thank you for the article. I am about to finish Once again soon ( been dragging the last part because I don't want it to end) and was wandering what family drama to watch next after it to fill the spot. Once again is my first try at family long dramas and love it alot. I don't like skipping any moment of a drama in general and I was really debating it in my head between Father is strange and What happened to my family. I will probably give Father is strange a chance first after your article :)

Cute article :)
It's the first long drama I picked up after an article here a few months ago and I don't regret it. Is so well paced and feels natural. I am only at ep 24 , I like to watch it from time to time when I have boring moment with the other dramas I watch. I find it is really good for this. But the drama itself is very good, not boring and not too overly dramatic that you cannot pause it for a while to binge something that caught your attention ^^

I was in the mood just yesterday to rewatch some scenes from Heartstrings because the songs from there came into my mind. I think for some the OSTs are what makes us remember the dramas better.
I started watching some dramas because of their songs being inserted in my playlist on YT and me liking them a lot (Hello Monster and Angel's last mission love) .
My fave osts are from Goblin, Are you human too and Hospital Playlist.. latter probably will remain my no.1 a long time ?
I have Life in my PTW because of one of the songs and love Gaho's Start form Itaewon .. one of my faves songs from this year's dramas ❤

Omg I also wanna watch Lost Romance. :) But not now. xD Maybe in October when it finished airing ^^
It really is good. Just be patient with the first 2-3 eps... TW dramas are slow burners, right? ?

Good choice :)) it's getting more cliffhangers by each episode

My first love in Asian dramas were Taiwanese ones. I started in 2006-2007 with Jdrama for the manga adaptations that didn't have anime, but got hooked more on the TW versions. For me they were better at that time. And of course Mars was and is still my favorite even now. I loved the manga and thought the drama was so good ❤. Also tried all dramas with Mike He back then because he was such a bishie :D
For some years I couldn't find one to stick to finish and gave up on them. I recently started Lost romance and I love it. I will give other recent titles a chance in the next months (picked up some from the article. Thanks! )

For now I only pick up ongoings that aren't the most popular in the respective periode. Or I wait until at least half of it is aired . I know from my crazy manga reader time years ago to stay away from popular ones while still not finished. It's horror to wait for the next episode/chapter for the hyped ones. ^^
And I stay away from comments section for avoiding spoilers. :D

Nice article. I've been in some trial and error with korean receips for a few months after Youn's kitchen and the Let's eat series.. I've been paying more attention when they show the characters in dramas at cooking scenes/bits in other dramas after them.
I will try for sure your receips :). Thanks

For me one was I am not a robot. I knew it was popular, but the whole premise sounded not very appealing to me. I started it expecting to drop it after first episode. But I ended up binging it. It was a very cute rom com :)
Also My unfamiliar family.. I really didn't know what to expect, the synopsis sounded almost boring for me.. but now I really really enjoy it.

I seem to like most of the titles of 2020 I watched. I' ve seen from the list in the articleItaewon class, Memorist and Hospital playlist and loved them all 3 in a different way. Memorist was very surpring, lots of twists and turns.
I also liked a lot When the weather is fine... I will probably rewatch it in winter as it seems to fit better the wintery atmosphere. I have several still watching from this year so I will not give too much of an opinion on them.
I hope to see soon Extracurricular and TWOTM, thanks for the reminder. As for Tiger and Rose, I am not sure, maybe one day. I still have trouble enjoying CN dramas to their fullest. I might be getting old :) . I think if they were like this 12 years ago when I started watching Asian dramas I would have loved them with all the fluffiness :) . Now I prefer the heavy stuff and slice of life vibes from recent years kdramas
It's nice though that there are so many to choose from, regardless the country.

Him and Secretary Kim brought me back to drama world (and kept me here) after many years of hiatus. I only watched Itaewon, What is wrong with secretrary Kim and Fight for my way from his dramas... and Parasite of course :) .
Actually one of the reason I went to see the movie at our local Korean Festival was because I saw him in the cast list, even if guest role. I thought if he is in there, must be at least enjoyable ^^

:) I'm glad that you enjoyed this article. Let me know what you think of this drama after you watch it. I haven't…
I will try it next just after I clean my watch list. I am always open for suggestions/ideas on Chinese dramas (haven't seen that many, but I want to), so your article was just on time ^^ .
I think RIABB it similar with the premise of the FL situation as a single mother returning to the workfield (with many difficulties) and a younger ML . Will let you know after I watch My dear lady and my impression of it :)

There are so many great OSTs songs out there, but something that always comes into my playlist are most from Goblin and Romance is a bonus book (especially The Black skirts -some day, love it ) ^^. I love also Suho's Sedansogu from How are you bread (the drama was not the best out there, but I instantly fell in love with that song)
