A light-hearted, and educational historical romcom with a loveable FL and romantic ML that made for a delightful watch! Even though its not the most perfect drama and lost its steam in the last few episodes, it seamlessly combined history & culture into the story along with giving us such a clean, wholesome romance. Unlike the usual lakorns, there were no loud or evil characters and watching them evolve was a refreshing change. Kudos to the production for this wonderful drama.
Highly recommended for all :)

She was human, and made mistakes like a lot of humans do. She was mentally ill.
DId she deserve his anger and hatred? YES.
But does that excuse abuse? NO.
Nobody deserves to be abused.
Also, whoever said we fall in love with people based on their 'niceness' or good qualities? If that was the case, half the world wouldn't be able to find a partner or love.
And this is strictly my opinion. I don't expect anyone else to agree with me. We can agree to disagree.

Just finished the 1st episode and my jaw hurts because I smiled for the entire 45 mins. The leads' relationship is absolutely adorableeeeeeeeee <333
I"M IN LOVE!

Kimu Taku is truly a gift that keeps on giving. This man just knows how to pick good scripts. This could have been more tight-scripted, nonetheless it was a decent one-time watch that kept me engaged for a good 3/4 of the drama.
Give it a try if you love the classic dramas. It's not the most unpredictable plot but the way it unfolded gave it an edge, especially for the time it was made in.

The leads had chemistry, acted well, the music was great and the cinematography was fine. But this lacked soul. I can't remember the original story but I feel like they rushed through everything to the effect that they didn't allow for the way the characters were feeling to sink in. It's like they kept going from one incident to the next in a rush to tell the story rather than allowing one to feel and flow with it. Quite a lost potential IMO and disappointing coming from WOWOW which produces great dramas.

Till the last scene of the last episode, it felt like I was watching a book come to life. The way the entire story unfolded and kept me on the edge till the last scene - freaking PERFECTION!
The characters felt so real and yet were so out-of-the-box. Basically so many things about this drama screamed ORIGINAL and EDGY. A rare combination achieved by the master Nojima Shinji who is one of my favourite writers. Once you start, you won't be able to stop until you finish it. This one's definitely one of my favourite drama from 2023 that had a great combination of romance, mystery, psychological and slice-of-life done right.
Highly highly recommend this gem for everyone.

Maida Nono, please take a bow! She's so young but damn I found her believable as a 40 year old from the moment she came on screen. Such phenomenal, nuanced acting! Her brilliant performance took this already great script to greater heights. I cried and laughed with her. Thanks to her, this drama will stay with me for a long long time.
