I read a lot of comments that they can't stand the attitude between Pran's friend and Pat's friend. Architecture Vs. Engineering where they can't stand each other or even be in the same place. Honestly, I can understand that hatred. It's a type of hatred that has been passed down by their seniors for who knows how long. It's just something that has been doctrine since the previous generation. So maybe they, themself don't know the real cause of their hatred. They can't stand each other's existence and see each other as an eyesore. And if you get close to the people from the other side, Every student in your faculty will look at you weirdly. I can understand it because I also experience this situation—constantly at odds with other departments feeling overly competitive every time there is competition, trying our best to be better than that department. Always have this uncomfortable feeling whenever both departments are in the same place, or even the tiny mistake or problem can lead to a conflict or even fighting. Even until I almost graduate, I still can't understand why my department be odd with other departments even though we are under the same faculty and studying under the same building. The irony is, this is also the same as what happened between Pran's and Pat's families.
Some people compared EP 6 dan 5 and said this episode is not as intense as EP 5. So here is my opinion.
If we make an analogy, Ep 1 to 4 is a building up for what happened in EP 5, and EP 5 is more like an explosion of all the emotion that both of them can't contain anymore. As you can see, as EP 5 progresses, the intensity of every scene is increased until it explodes at the rooftop kiss. So here EP 6 is more like an aftermath of that explosion so that it won't be as intense as EP 5, so it can give a viewer a chance to breathe because if all the episodes have the same intensity as EP 5 for me, I will be drained, but EP 6 still have a lot of meaning to look at.
First, as I said before, EP 6 is like the aftermath of the explosion in EP 5, and everyone has a different way to cope with it. In this episode, we can see how different their personality are. Frist Pran, as we can see since EP 1, Pran is really good at hiding his own felling and problem, and even though he is someone who looks like an extrovert but for me, he is more like an introvert who loves to be surrounded by his friends but keep everything inside and show his happy side to people around him. So if this type of person faces a problem or something that they can't handle right away, the first thing they do is step back and rearrange their thoughts. And sometimes they will shut down their lives to people around them, especially the problem itself. It's not because they hate you or don't trust you, but it's just their self protect mechanism that their subconscious doing so they can protect themself from getting hurt. And this is exactly what Pran did in this EP. Step back, rearrange his thought, and shut down people from getting near him, especially Pat (after all, he is Pran's problem right now). That is why he avoids Pat, not because he hates that kiss or even angry at Pat because of his action. He is still confused about what happened between them and needs time to think about his next action. Just give him time, and when he is ready to talk, he will talk. And that's why when Pat told him that what he is doing right now makes him uncomfortable, Parn answered that 'He (Pat) not the only one who feels uncomfortable.' because Pran also feels uncomfortable, but he needs time to think everything through. And also, in the scene when Pran leaves his guitar in Wai's room this scene Pran says, "If we know how it's will end, isn't it better start at all" this dialogue it's not just referring toward his mom forbidding him to play guitar. It's also about his relationship with Pat. Now we move to Pat; Pat is straightforward; he is not used to keeping his feeling, so when this kind of thing happens, his first reaction is to find Pran and talk to him to find what is the problem, what do we think about it, and what is the solution for it. That is why in this EP, you can see Pat attempt to start the conversation with Pran, albeit Pran attempt to avoid him. Even though he has to face Pran's parents and friends who hate him, he doesn't care about it as long as he can talk with Pran. And that's how we get to the beach scene.
In this scene, Pran is ready to talk even though he still doesn't want to talk about the kiss, but he is already willing to talk. I really love the conversation in here. " Do you hate me ?" -----Pran "Weirdly, I can't hate you when I supposed to hate you" ---- Pat "It's angered, not hatred" --------- Pran " It's weird when we are alone we can talk with each other nicely but not when there are other people" -- Pat. "It's just that we born this way" -------- Pran. From this conversation, we can see that both can get angry with each other, but they can't really hate each other. And also how Pat hopes that they can treat each other the same as when they are alone when they are around other people. But just like Pran answered, it will be difficult be they born this way; everyone around them expects them to be enemies, not friends, more ever boyfriend.
And now move to the last scene of this episode. I like it when Pat holds Pran's hands to prevent him avoid him again. And the way he started their conversation by writing the word kiss at the sand. And I really liked it when Pat said, if you don't talk, how could I understand. It shows me that Pat wants to understand Pran more, and he is also not a person who can read minds, so if you don't talk, I also won't know what to do next. When Pat said that he doesn't like Ink in that way, I feel that Pat tried to assure Pran that he is not confused between his feelings toward Ink and him that the one that Pat likes is Pran, not Ink. And it seems to me that Pat knows that one of the reasons Pran avoids him is that before that kisses, He said he likes Ink, but he kissed Pran instead, which makes Pran confused and insecure about Pat's real feelings toward him. That way, after Pat says that he doesn't like Ink, you can see that Pran trying to ensure more about it. And you can see his face started to relax more, and this scene means that Pat's statement already answered the thing that he was confused about the most. And the last dialogue in this EP when they said whoever fall in love first will lose, this is just the way they communicate with each other the way they feel most comfortable with, is to turn everything into a competition even when it's about flirting with each other
Gosh at the beginning of this episode I'm kinda afraid that they will put an unnecessary love triangle between Pat, Pran, and Ink. But fortunately, they don't put it.
If the last episode showed us from Pran's perspective and his feeling towards Pat. In this episode, they bring us the story from Pat's perspective and how he viewed his relationship with Pran. Through the episode, we would see how Pat tried to come to terms with his feeling towards Pran. How he started to realize that he saw Pran as more than just a frenemy. What is funnier is that he used the method that he used to confirm Ink's feelings towards him to realize his feeling with Parn. And I really loved the way the director showed us How complicated is it for Pat when he realizes that he may like Pran. In the last episode, I really hate how oblivious Pran is toward Pat's feelings. But in this episode, I can really sympathize with Pat. After all, both of them are a frenemy throughout their life so who will even guess that your frenemy likes you more than just a friend.
The way the director showed us that Pat felt bothered to see Pran sing a song that they wrote together with other people it's really brilliant. It showed us that Pat felt that that song is something special for him. A song that they couldn't finish performing at high school. The scene in front of the apartment building between Pat, Pran, and Wai showed us how amazing the actors Ohm and Nanon are. They really bring the emotion of Pat and Pran alive to make me realize how complicated their relationship is that they can't even be truthful about their feeling in front of other people because people see them as enemies that can't be in the same place. It really draws me in when Pat said why he can't tell Wai about their relationship and how Pran is afraid that Wai will know about it. I know that maybe that is just a drunk talk of Pat but I understand that he feels jealous and frustrated with Pran and Wai's friendship. How they can show their closeness without other people judging it or preventing it.
And Lastly of course we have to talk about the confession and the rooftop kisses. Both Ohm and Nanon really did an amazing job for this scene. Way Pat started to open up about his feeling and how he felt when Pran is disappeared from his life for three years. I can really feel the longing that Pat has for Pran and how important Pran is in his life. And how this confession let us to their first kiss. Seriously when I watched the kiss I don't feel any lust feeling at all. What I felt is just two people pouring all of their emotion, love, longing, confusion, jealousy, insecurity, and anxiety into that kiss. Especially when Pran kiss Pat for the second time. It seems to me that he finally let go of all of the accumulated feelings which he has toward Pat in that kiss. And how Pran walks away after the kiss without saying any word makes me feel that he doesn't expect anything and that kiss is just a sweet dream that will be forgotten after he woke up.
OMG I can't believe that I have to wait another week to see their reaction after that kisses
I don't recommend this drama for anyone who wants to watch a good, exciting drama. But if you want to watch a drama to pass your time when you wait for your favorite drama to air this drama is okay for you. I can finish this drama because of Shirasu Jin
Watch the first episode and it's going according to my expectation. A whole pilot episode full of the overused troupe. Both ML and FL met when they were young the Fl didn't recognize the ML as a noble one of them tell his name but the other forgot/ didn't have a chance to tell her name. And we have our SML who accidentally met the FL when she tried to save our ML but he told our ML that he was the one who saved him to gain favor. The long short story our ML tried to find our FL but the others lied to him that our FL had already left the palace. Have a chance to meet again after the accident but always missed the timing by just a second. And they won't meet again until they grew up and they don't recognize each other (based on ep 2 trailer). That my summarize of the first ep
I finished the novel and need a place to rant especially about their parents. OMG, they are so freaking toxic and selfish. I feel pity for both of them
My opinion after watching the first ten episodes of this drama. The storyline/the script is a standardized script which I have seen a lot in cdrama. Nothing new for me, I don't know whether they will give us some twist in a future episode. Honestly, for me, this drama is saved by ML and SML acting. The FL acting is passable but i just hope she doesn't just try to look pretty in front of the camera but try to act out her role, maybe this type of acting will work for her role in this drama but it won't always work at another role. In my opinion, if she doesn't try to break out from her current state her acting role in the future will be very limited.
I have watched almost all her works and also followed her music. If u ask me I would say that this is her fixed…
I have watched her past drama including the modern setting of the blooms of the ruyi pavilion and of course I know that it's her fixed look. That's why I said I'm not sure whether it's her or the director who asked for her look. I don't say that she looks weird with her make-up she looks really pretty with this look but I just feel like sometimes she needs to changes her look according to the setting of drama and scene. I mean her overall look not just the lipstick
How did you completed 40 minutes episode in 30 minutes 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I tend to fast-forward when I watch drama. Sometimes I can finish a 40-minute drama in just 20 minutes if the drama doesn't really require the audience to use some brain
I have watched the first episodes. and the thing that bothers me is that the FL clothes and make-up design. I feel they are just too extravagant and too much for this type of setting. I don't know if the director or the screenwriter asked for it or the actress (based on her past drama, she tends to have a very "pretty" type make-up) and sometimes it's not even quite right for some scene.
Already watch the first 8 episodes and so far I LIKE IT SO MUCH. It's really met my expectation and every scene in the drama are like they bringing out exactly from the novel. The interaction between the main lead is almost the same as what i imagined when i reading the novel
OMG!!! This episode just too intense and Sam acting, I don't know how to describe it other than awesome. The drunk scene is too intense too emotional and the way Sam acted in that scene was perfect. In that scene, I can tell how much Gao Shi De loves Shu Yi and how much their separation hurt him. And of course, the appearance of Shu Yi's dad at the end of the episode kinda proves one of my theory about Shu Yi's dad have some share in their separation
