the main characters are truly flawed ( and i understand that is good as it fits into the lookism narrative ). though, i can't help but still getting frustrated watching fl's insecurity ( oh gosh, that is part of her journey ), especially when she doesn't even dress up for interview ( marketing place in beauty company at that ).. what do you expect girl? if you put at least 10% of effort, i would understand why you get mad.

for the ml.. he doesn't interest me, i hate his personalities, but he is such a perfect example of how society acts differently towards appearance. yeah, he will change and develop as better character to see people from the inside, but i hate him now so what. it breaks me too when he misunderstand suchengcheng as a bully just because of her look and strong body....

i don't follow any of their interview, only watch the trailer. stating the opinion above as general audience who don't stan any of the casts here.

i wonder too as it also happens with non adaptation series. what i notice cdrama have extreme reuters that is so questionably normalized and there is no point to keep everything from their mainland audience as there is so many leaks already from filming site, so the production house probably think.. let's just use it as contents?

watching this without expectation at all, and i thoroughly enjoyed the 4 episodes so much!
all side characters have distinct personalities and we can glimpse into their background just by listening to their convo, my fave probably aaron park lmao it is so entertaining to see him maintain his pride as manager in the middle of apocalypse. good thing the humor really fit into my taste, i don't know how many times i laugh 😂 and i want to give applause to dop + the camera angles is so fun.

+ new audience, you should give it a try and take a note that this is in "comedy" genre to enjoy.

disclaimer im not a novel reader, but i agree it is very valid opinion and it is a good thing people point it out. it seems like the screenwriter just want to insert duan jiaxu in any episodes ( just for sangyan's "boyfriend" set up ) without thinking about wen yifan's trauma. very odd of sangyan to invite djx ( twice at that ) without notice. just a bad placement i guess, it won't be a problem if they fit him later in the story after the wen yifan's main conflict is revealed.

this mu cheng yun... he is so creepy to me and i don't understand how wen yifan ( with all those trauma ) doesn't get triggered with his behavior, what is his exact role actually?
