he is so wattpad kind of annoying, his way of talking is so rude to fl or even to his subordinate, it comes off cocky. i dont find him attractive at all, but this kind of character has its own audience lol

i dont really follow china entertainment show so thank you so much for the insight! that helps me understand the plots better. 👌 so as I assumed the circumstances were indeed different from my country's stand up. stand up gig in my country hit the peak between 2012-2015, meanwhile china stand up just blow up in the last few years. no wonder there is 2 comedian fl already this year from cdrama, later i laughed and smile code 🤣

talking about the overall story, to be totally honest I kinda lost interest with the stand up comedy ( despite i used to watch stand up lol ). i prefer the earlier office scenario, i can relate more to realistic workplace setting in the first half and i love how they pour in quirky mockumentary into it. as they introduced xu yun feng, i was also questioning his character and the dating plot :/

i know and i understand being stand up comedian is the goals, but i fell into this drama for xiuya's story as corporate girl.

as someone who used to watch stand up comedy, the time setting for zhiyong's career switch in the latest ep is kinda spot on. i remember precisely in 2011 there was a stand up comedy competition on tv and my classmates were crazy about it that they did their own gigs every week. they were so passionate about it and made their own schedule, poster, writing scripts etc like zhiyong. of course, as time went by the popularity dimmed.

Currently the time setting in the drama is 2015, by then the situation ( in my country ) most of the popular comedian had a shift in goals and started jumping career to director, novelist, or going back to their og career. well, most of them had actual job previously just like zhiyong. it was indeed a turbulent time for stand up comedy just as pictured in the drama. Though I didn't know if the circumstances were the same or not because I got no clue about China Stand Up Comedy foundation, whether it got popularized through a tv show like in my country or just through bar gig as shown in the drama. 🤔

she always speak up but he doesn't respect her opinion and tends to ignore it. that is the problem with him. it is okay if he wants to be traditional man, but he doesn't even think FL has "capability" as much as him, he doesn't see her as equal. the worst thing, his circle of friends share the same view as him, so it is hard for him to learn his own wrongdoing. :(

they have separate character charts for 2006 timeline ( yun-seok jiwon's highschool setting ) , so im sure their teen ver play a big role for the story and they will appear a lot

they picture workplace environment in general not only china, im sure if you work especially in a corporate, you will experience and relate to all situations here in the drama. or even college or school, with that teammates- issue, it is common problem students face.
