There is nothing funny here. A young girl of 24 years old has probably gone through immense suffering that led her to commit the worse. It's infinitely sad. And now, you all act as self-appointed judges, how pathetic !
How pathetic you all are with your half-baked social media judging skills without knowing the full story. You are the ones spreading hate and potentially making irreversible damage. I hate you !
Starting to watch this drama. I hope it doesn't get me boring 😌.
It depends what you like of course but for me it was a very good watch. Typical plot, no big surprise here but great acting ! And the length with 12 episodes is perfect.
Mine is probably debatable 😉 but my 3rd 10/10 is Queen of Tears. I just found this one perfect ( Intro, OST, acting, plot, ending, mature...). But it might be linked to the fact that I watched it during the first months after my divorce while being in a very emotional state. I also felt into the kdrama world only 1 year ago and watched about 30 series. My 9.5 are Mr Queen, Crash Landing on You, Light shop and Moon embracing the sun.
Wow, what to say ? I'm glued to my seat trying to stand up. My third 10/10 (with Twinkling Watermelon being one of them). This is not just a story about school bullying it's also about parental abuse and deep wounds that you can't sometimes overcome. And it just delivers the message in only 8 rather short episodes. Great acting as well. What else to say ? Watch it !
It's okay to have a different opinion than the crowd.
Thanks Cora,
In fact I was asking myself a deep question about the notes on MDL ;-) I'm using it to track what I have watched but also mainly for selecting what I'm going to watch next based on the fact that statistically, as there are tens of thousands of people that gave notes, a high value should be a pretty good indicator of the overall quality of the drama (of course defining quality is very personal). What I noticed is that these new dramas are most of the time quoted very high as people react very emotionaly when giving a note and they sometimes decrease over time (as more people watch maybe ?) I have two questions for people here. First is : do you adjust your note over the time so that it is less emotional and more "analytical" I would say. My second question is more an example question. I will take a few dramas and ask you if, in case they are leaving all streaming platforms forever in 2 weeks and you can only choose one by looking at MDL notes (I will take dramas with almost same notes around 9), would you be happy having chosen this one (no hate at all regarding this drama, it's just an example) which is a 9.1. I will try to eliminate the category of drama as I have eclectic tastes so I'm watching comedies, romances, thrillers, historical... and I have top watches in each one. My example list is "Crash Landing on You" with 9.0, Mr Queen with 9.0, Twinkling Watermelon with 9.2 and Drawing Closer which is a 8.9 (sorry a Jdrama but I wanted to include one a bit below 9.0). Of course you should have watched these dramas to answer the question afterwards :-). I would be very glad to hear from you all !
Looking at the comments I will probably get booed by most of you but why solid 10s for this drama ??? It's not bad and pleasant to watch but it makes me think to these American series without much deepness, no story, "spectacular" images of organs and blood... I would give maybe like a 8, certainly not more.
Awesome ! I have never laughed that much when watching a kdrama and also cried a few time but it was hilarious ! It's not an historical drama btw, the historical context just serves the scenario and is used for time-based funny situations. The FL delivers a stunning performance, helped by the very good plot of course. I was not a big fan of the ML here but it was ok. I saw comments from people finding it boring so, as often, it's a matter of taste. Just try it and if you don't like the first episode, probably you should drop it indeed. For me it was a solid 9.5. And it looks like Netflix changed its mind recently not dropping it mid-February as it was previously stated.
Please don't shoot but I waited until all episodes are available and according to reviews I had a lot of expectations about this drama. I have only watched 2 episodes and I'm totally disappointed by the inconsistencies in the plot and the acting. Not that I'm afraid of unreal or strange things to set up the story (you have demons everywhere or a son traveling in the past to meet his father at his age 😆) but here nothing seems ok to me like this selective mutism (ok I know it's a real thing but it does not plug in here) ... but it's hard to explain my feelings. There was so much potential in the story but it's a mess so far in my opinion. Will continue anyway, I'm almost never dropping dramas generally !
I will probably get roasted for my comment but this season is a total crap compared to season 1 for me 😞 It's just... empty ! I had to rewatch last episode of season 1 just to remember the end after watching season 2 and it just added arguments to my bad feelings regarding season 2. With 6/10 this is my worst notation of all kdramas I have watched so far. And one might say that the cast is great, it doesn't make a good show.
