kisskh I don’t recommend it, but I was just desperate to watch this show. So, I succumbed. It’s properly on the Tencent app now with good subs, but you need VIP access and it’s only up to episode 8 there, I believe. I pay for so many VIP apps that my conscience is clear using kisskh this once, lol.

Love seeing Esther like this too! She’s nailing the angst, the martial arts, and the mysterious, strategic survivalist of the character. No baby voice! But, I love her baby-voiced antics in other dramas as well.
Hate to say it, but the second lead couple is totally stealing the show. They are fire to me. Esther and Linghe kinda put me to sleep. Love them, but, well, yeah…

That was a bit shady, well, a straight up lie as you said, and pretty selfish to put his parents through that. Mildly questionable behavior, but not the absolute worst, in my opinion. This isn’t murder or high treason. But, it definitely reflects an “all’s fair in love and war” mindset. Yeah, he’s not that simple and innocent at all.
A blind heiress is nearly defrauded of her inheritance by people close to her. But, thanks to her handsome bodyguard, the truth of the perpetrators is revealed. Turns out, however, the bodyguard is not who he appears to be and the heiress puts up her defenses against him as well. They have a deeper history that she doesn’t understand.
