I can barely get through episode 3. I think I might have to drop this.

I just hope we get proper kisses with the full, swoonworthy viewing experience that aren’t deliberately obscured due to censorship.

AveX is extremely opinionated. I don’t take her too seriously. Often, however, she provides helpful insights into Chinese culture and the cdrama industry that enhance my viewing experience because she’s really smart and knowledgeable. But, I’ve learned to form my own opinion before I let her influence me. So, no worries. Most people can discern what a sweet, innocent, and delightful drama “Hidden Love” is. The leads are knocking it out of the park. (The younger 14yr old Sang Zhi looked 10 years old, which was mildly unsettling, but nothing improper occurred. The ML character was always above board and honorable towards the younger Sang Zhi. The drama even lessened the age gap by 2 years (as compared to the original novel) which further made the story more palatable for ultra-conservatives.)

Personally, I don’t understand her appeal. But, her acting is exceeding my expectations in this drama. Her character is just written poorly. I don’t find the character likeable (at least not at this point).

Many people feel the vibe is similar to “Business Proposal”.

Love this guy. So charismatic and handsome. We definitely don’t see him in dramas enough. I got serious second-lead syndrome in “Clean With Passion.”

Agree. This drama taught me what the fuss is all about over the ML. I totally wasn’t getting it before. Dropped “Mr. Bad.” But, I soooo understand now.

Yeah, the title is right up there with “Be Best.”

I was surprised he was willing to portray such an unflattering character. He looked like a total punk. I guess he can’t afford to be picky. When you gotta work, you gotta work. But still, I would have thought such a role would go to a lesser-known actor. If I’m not mistaken, he’s one of the supporting in Seo In Guk’s upcoming drama. (Need to fact check that, might be wrong). The cast for that is lit.

Episode 11 looks intense.

That face-washing scene in the hospital was giving MinMin and Bong Song vibes. 😍

Similar vibe to “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” and “Business Proposal” but not as good as either (at least not yet).

Yes, that young actress was awesome. So charismatic. She looked 10 yrs old though. I fell out when I learned the character was 14.

These two are giving Esther Yu and Dylan Wang a run for the money in the chemistry department. They mix sweet and hot so well together.

The slow burn is so good .

Enjoying this so much. Expectations exceeded.
