Hey there! Thank you so much for your comment!! I kinda partake from your OCD. Haha I actually love history pretty much, so knowing about Chinese history has become a hobby since I started watching C-dramas. So, I'm always reading the history behind each historical dramas from China. As to the Sui-Tang transition, I do agree with you, specially in regards to the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, which comes right before the Sui-Tang period, and was a really, really crazy time to be alive indeed. I've watched The Legend of Dugu (2018) and Queen Dugu (2019), both of which show how began the Sui period. They do an amazing job in retelling the end of one period and the beginning of the other. I still haven't watched a fully Sui drama, but I believe these are good ones to start with. I hope you like'em!!! =D

Hey, you're welcome!! Oh, my!! That's a very difficult question indeed!!! I'm sorry that I have no way of measuring that as precisely as possible, but that's also a question I've asked myself multiple times. The answer I can provide you with is the following: Many dramas really come and go variably, approaching what's been written in terms of history, whilst others just overcome the historical lines, proposing other views of the same issue/event/character etc. and justifying in their own particular way why they did that, why history has been recorded as we know, or they just don't justify at all, leaving it all for us to wonder, you know? Haha The more I watch historical dramas, Journalist, the more I understand about history not only because I go myself in search of historical records, but also because C-dramas have a powerful way of making us wonder how things were and what became of them. So, the more I watch them, the more I come to understand better about the relation between fiction and history or fiction and reality. Not quite sure if I've answered your question properly, though. ><
