Lu Si is really suited for these kind of roles but then she's always type cast into them but Im enjoying the series so far. Really like her character interaction with her brother in this show.

xz is a very versatile actor and all of his roles are very different but one thing for sure, he's perfect for angst roles.... there is no debating over this but I think xz is be a masochist. A lot of his characters are pain, pain, pain, suffering, torture torture

I'm still emotionally disturbed by the last few episodes of The Longest Promise. I need some happy and sparkle and sunshine drama to calm me down but XZ is amazing in angst roles... I sometimes think he's some sort of masochist lol. There isn't any other actors out there that is as perfect as XZ for ShiYing's role.

Im liking the bed scene, very artistic... they don't need some passionate nonstop kissing scene for the wedding nights and the ending... im okay with it, to be honest i would prefer a happier ending but in life and reality not everything is happy and sunshine. I respect, Shi Ying's choice, that's all i have to say.

I actually ship (not in a romantic way) him with xiao bai shifu, they would look adorable together and xz would definitely pet and hug him all day long knowing that xz adores animals.

question: how popular is this series in China? In terms of passerbys who are not fans of the ML. Just curious. How's the buzz online and offline. Being a big fan of the ML im gonna be bias so would like some honest answers. If this does well, there might be a chance that XZ will do another costume drama hopefully. Thanks.

seems like the site (MDL) is being wonky today or they are trying to suppress xiao zhan's page because when i search xiao zhan, sometimes he doesn't even show up on the top search result instead some unrelated people show as result.
