I hope they're able to reflect the level of comedy the original had, but I'm also worried that I might not get all the jokes since Waikiki had some culture specific ones I understood from watching things like the korean variety shows
this wasn't the best but the interactions of the mains were worth it for me to keep going. They were very natural together so their chemistry was good (which I find often lacking in c-dramas)
This movie is is just mashup of hilarious situations so the movie feel like it is all over the place, but don't let that deter you from watching. This is a movie I always remember this because of how impactful some scenes were! I'd recommend watching the original version spoken in Cantonese too
Also, the song one of them sang is so catchy "Wo ai ni, I love you, love you, love you, love you..."
aw thanks ^^indeed, kdramas stepped up their game since 2010s but they're still stuck in the past ;( the closest…
yeah, they just haven't found the right balance for FL's yet.
I enjoy listening to OST's especially if I can also link them to drama scenes which makes them feel more special. If we think of past hit songs like "You are My Everything" from DOTS and "MY Destiny" from YWCFTS, they were huge even abroad so it's definitely a big market for sure
WOW, love all these ideas! They would definitely help diversify the types of k-dramas available.
I especially like The Fantasy, Spies, and Musical ideas. K-dramas definitely haven't explored the fantasy genre enough since Arthdal Chronicles.
For Spies, badass females are always a plus and not seen enough! Women deserve more opportunities to shine by taking on diverse roles.
Musicals would be lovely, the closest scenes I recall of singing in k-dramas other than Dream High was in Chicago Typewriter (in the 1930s setting). Even if it's not historical, there are quite a few actors that are already musical actors too so I don't think casting would be that difficult. It might also interest ppl in watching musicals again which would help their musical actors and the industry in general
