I was really impressed with Melvin Sia's and Huang Wei Ting acting in episodes 36&37. They are actually…
Big improvement, particularly on her side. I've been pretty meh on them, but the last few episodes won me over. Now I need to watch from 38 on. Hoping to see some movement in Guo Long and Xin Yi's relationship now. For a 35 year old woman Xin Yi is being ridiculously dense.
I was really impressed with Melvin Sia's and Huang Wei Ting acting in episodes 36&37. They are actually my b-couple, but I loved their scenes in these two episodes. The hotel room was so well-done. I liked all the emotion, thought it was very real, and the way it was shot was so sweet especially the ending scene on the bed. The scenes when Zhi Heng went to see his mother's ashes were really good as well.
How many episodes does this show actually have? Here it says 40, bot over on Viki it still says 60.
Could be. I'm actually surprised I'm liking this so much since I'm not one for longer dramas. If it is 60 episodes, I hope there is a lot more Guo Long/Xin Yi interaction. Love them, especially Guo Long.
I know they're not out for good, unfortunately, but seeing Chiyan Rou and Chang Le get a comeuppance in 20 made me so happy. Now I'm wondering what will happen with Chang Ru in the future. ( I felt really dumb while watching 18 cause I never had a thought that she was a deceptive game player as well)
Episode 4 was the first one that didn't feel to long. Glad to see Lei Xin Yu finally have a tiny bit character development. Her helplessness and over-dependency on others was really starting to grate on me. Now I'm actually looking forward to next week's episode.
I don't think I have ever cried over anything like I did with 1 litre of tears. especially during the episode…
It's ridiculously hard to get Japanese dramas on DVD, especially legibly English subbed. I looked for the two I own forever. Eventually I broke down and bought dvd's someone had burned. Thankfully both series turned out ok. Japan just doesn't make it easy.
Bromance was not a great drama by any means. The plot, what there was of it, was often over the top ridiculous. The writing so cheesy at times I literally cringed, and the biggest side couple bored me to death. Buuuut the lead couple was amazing. Almost from the beginning Zifeng treats Yanou as an equal and that never changes even after he fell in love. And she does the same to him. And the chemistry was off the charts good. They sold me on the friendship first, and then the romance without a question. And they were equal in that relationship as well.
I need to give Pride another chance. I got so irritated by things in the latter half that I ended up skipping to the end. Also I would recommend the Thai version of Full House over the Korean one as the leads in the Thai version had very good chemistry and I actually liked the pacing and tone of the story more.
